Eclipses help us come into greater alignment, they are the portals for transformation. Imagine you are witnessing the energy field around a tuning fork, when struck the vibrations move outwards and around in geometric waves that eventually settle back into itself before moving again. That is how I view eclipses, when the sun moon and earth come into alignment. As do our inner worlds. It is an opportunity, if we are aware and use it wisely, to find greater alignment.
But this doesn’t come without the stir up of the silt on the bottom, anything that has been left to settle that may be leaking toxicity into our divine soil and waters that needs to be addressed.
Although a partial eclipse this feels like a big moment, and an insight into themes that will be surfacing over the next 18+ months when the nodes move into the Taurus Scorpio axis where the sun and moon are echoing these now. Values, finances, possessions, creativity, security, Earth changes, wealth/power distribution, shadow, rebirth, uncovering of hidden truths, and internal power, just to name a few.
This Taurus full moon has a strong focus on what we truly value. What is, or is not working in accordance to the level of value it holds in our hearts? Where have we devalued something that may be imperative to our survival? What do we need to let go of and readjust focus/energy around that has been previously exploited or neglected? What needs to be moved so we can thrive more?
We have the opportunity to dive into our psyche and surface anything that may need to be composted, remembering the beneficial nutrients we receive from the alchemy of this process of letting go. Just like seedlings, it is time to thin out what we don't need so we can focus our energy, a process of simplifying and refining our efforts and values for strong healthy growth that will keep on giving.
Be aware that tempers can be explosive and this may not be a comfortable process for many, but there can be an equal amount of surprising kindness, love and beauty. Compassion and understanding is always helpful during eclipses and heightened moments in the collective, what we exchange or interact with now can have lasting effects.
We may realise some things are completely out of our control, but it's how we shape our inner worlds and be utterly true to our values, that will eventually have a ripple effect collectively. But the inner work must be done.
If thrown off balance return to your innate inner power with bare feet on the earth.
BONUS MEDITATION:
An incredibly powerful process is a self guided meditation of the process of dying and rebirthing oneself, recommended only if you feel up to it.
Find a comfortable safe space where you won’t be interrupted. You may want to do this post movement/workout so your mind is clear and not restless. Lie down and prepare as you would for any meditation.
When you are ready, enter a dark cave under the earth, notice the smell of soil, roots and fungus, let your imagination create the scene. Lie down, settle in and start the process of letting go. Letting go of the nuances of life. Let it all go. Let go of the body, the skin, the flesh until just bones remain. And then turn them to ashes and let go of them too, witness them disappearing and being absorbed into the soil, nourishing all around. Stay in this space of complete surrender until you are ready to renew.
Notice the aliveness even though the physical form has been absorbed back into the earth, the feeling of being completely held, the nourishment that is being received to become one deep within the caverns of the earth, enjoy this process, find pleasure in the deepest form of surrender.
Now start to form anew from a clear space, form your bones with intention, your organs, your skin, hair and nails, your shining eyes and a strong beating heart fed and nourished by the rich soils of the earth. You may be joined by beetles or bugs or brightly coloured butterflies or familiars that have joined to safe guard and witness this process. Layer by layer you are whole and complete.
Start to push your way up through the soil, breathing in its rich aroma, noticing the complex tendrils that are part of you as you move up into the sunlight. Feel the golden soft sun on your skin as you emerge and the moist green grass under your feet. Breathe in the fresh air and let joy wash over you as the complete incredible being that you are.
