To dream or not to dream, that is the question. But not under a Pisces moon, that is just a given.

The dreamy state that a Piscean water supermoon brings could also feel like a thick haze as we deepen into Mercury’s retrograde. Maybe the eyes are heavier, the mind a little more cottonwool-like, the vision a little more blurry than normal… Removing sight as one of our senses, and replacing it with what we feel and perceive.

Can we just let it be instead of straining for clarity, or to clutch at the exact thing floating through our minds before it disappears again? What if we just let go and slid into the milky waters of haziness? Would we sink into oblivion? Or actually into deep and spacious reflection? Would our lives fall apart? Or actually be more enriched by softening our gaze?

Perhaps this full moon is a reminder that sometimes we need to rest our minds, to let go of trying to ‘formulate’, and just float in a silent well of myths and messages. Confusion is a given, so we might as well enjoy it with awareness. Confusion makes us appreciate genius and clarity when it arrives. Confusion is a necessary pause.

What if Saturn’s message with this bulging moon was that sometimes we just need to trust the process and timing of unravelling? Of being in spaces of ‘I don't have a clue what is going on’. That this IS part of the work, the unknown IS part of the journey, and the mind needs to recharge in the other room while we stretch our intuition into a new shapes.

What is coming to the surface that needs to be sacrificed to the moon? What practices need readjusting so we can make space for new daily rituals? Tears may well to the surface with messages not for the mind, but the other senses, try and not make sense of it all just yet.

What I do know is that we have to trust the process. That the haze clears, and if we have done the work of trusting what we feel and where we are going with our knowings (or not knowings), all will be revealed on the other side.

Let go. Do something creative to spark some mystery, dream journal synchronicities, it is between the lines we find our messages. Go look at the moon, it’s the largest we will see this year.

Trust your intuition and discernment and let it be your guide this blue moon, it is only once in a while it happens upon us twice in a calendar month.

Astrologer Colin Bedell says:

When it comes to Astrology, Spirituality, or possibly even anything esoteric, or metaphysical, “belief” is necessary but it's insufficient. So often we reduce these important conversations to belief. “Do you believe in Astrology? Do you believe in God?” While there are sometimes appropriate conversations that have us unpack the belief in something, I think the Full Moon in Pisces wants us to ask, “Do you experience Astrology? Do you experience God?”

I mention this because while belief is helpful, I think it's the Pisced-ruled experience of spirituality that truly determines one’s commitment to a spiritual practice. Nobody needs to be reminded that there are people who claim to believe in a loving God but behave hatefully in the name of that loving God. Also, I’m sure there are Astrologers who improperly apply this system of connection to create experiences of disconnection. So once again, it’s not the quality of the belief that validates our spirituality but the quality of one’s lived experience. Belief and theology are often up for interpretation but the concrete results in one’s experience are typically clear.

Whenever I think of Pisces, I think of a sign that has us moving away from questions of belief to the results of an experience. It inspires us to behave from a belief system that creates the experience of love, peace, compassion, and forgiveness and the relational results to back it up. Now the Full Moon in Pisces’ Full Moon Illumination asks us to incorporate our spiritual practice into our daily life in ways that inspire others. I love this ask because it reminds us what A Course in Miracles suggests which is that to teach is to demonstrate. This ask also asks us to lean on our spiritual practice to lead with more love, gentleness, and compassion in our daily lives. Personally, I don’t know a more important spiritual strategy than applying our spiritual practice in our relationships in ways that create a little more heaven on earth.

Within the Full Moon’s chart, Mercury is retrograde in Virgo. Asking us to reimagine the small ways, small steps, and small goals we can take to experience more successful results from our spiritual practice. From more consistent meditation, affirmations, and/or simple breathing strategies, it’s often the Virgo-ruled micro that helps us experience peace on the Pisces macro.

Under this Full Moon, I invite you to take a page out of the recovery spaces and initiate a fearless moral inventory over your life since Pisces as the last sign does ask for the grand finale of the spiritual work. Review your relationships especially and cross-reference your spiritual practice for insight into how you can steward more love, reconciliation, and forgiveness there. I love the way A Course in Miracles reminds us that we cannot experience the highest level of spirituality but through love given and received in our relationships. So consider your commitment to applying the best of what you learned in your connections and watch the Full Moon in Pisces open your heart to the love you - and they! - deserve.
