The Leo new moon brings a sense of in-flow and not-in-flow as we dissolve masks, settle into, or shake off layers, to reveal more of our true selves.
We have been in a deep process (whether aware or not) of questioning what is working in alignment with our hearts, our values and desires, and what is not.
We are each presented with scenarios in life that have us question our path and direction. Is this what I imagined it would be? Is this working? Is this not working for me right now?
There are times that open our perceptive heart-mind for reassessing and working through the stories we tell ourselves around self worth, deserving, being, having etc.
Some scenarios come as surprises, others slowly reveal themselves over time, and as we learn and grow wiser with self-knowledge, we develop clearer gauges on what we deserve, what we are worth, where our edges lie, how life unfolds and who we share it with.
Regardless, creativity is flowing. Creative problem solving is necessary, optimism is important and there is a need for more focus on celebrating and honouring ourselves on this journey, wherever we are at.
Leo new moon, let this be a refresh, redesign and re-cognition of how powerful we really are.

As inspired by the work of Dr. Brené Brown in a viral TED Talk on the power of vulnerability, Dr. Brown explores themes that feel very Leo. In the talk, Dr. Brown argues that the only precondition to living courageous, compassionate, and connected lives was simply the belief that they were already worthy of love and belonging. Dr. Brown called them “The Wholehearted”. The brightest star in the Leo constellation is Regulus - the Lion’s Heart. The prefix “cor” is Latin for heart and courage originally meant the act of telling who you are with your whole heart. And now that is the power of Leo.
This New Moon inspires you to share the story of you who are with your whole heart. And with every act of self-disclosure; where you say “I love you..” first, or you’re telling your family you want to quit your stable job to start your own business, etc, you begin the Leo-ruled process of self-revelation. Every moment of self-disclosure brings self-revelation. You meet a version of yourself in the expression of courage that you knew was inside you all along but hadn’t experienced it. This is Leo! What story in your heart is trying to be told? What substantial information about yourself needs to be expressed in order for you to be seen and valued?
In the chart of The New Moon in Leo, we have the New Moon forming a conjunction to Venus currently retrograde in Leo and a square to Jupiter in Taurus. So the themes are exploring: self-love, romantic love, values, and money. How worthy do you feel of not just love and belonging but also pleasure, financial freedom, and ease? Could a somatic practice help? So much of our stories around money, love, and worthiness are deeply somatic so what practices can we begin in order to receive nourishment, love, and support? How can you claim worthiness for yourself and remind not just the misunderstood Leo but all of us - that they too are fundamentally worthy of love, joy, and belonging? When I think of Leo, I don’t think of an attention stealer - I think of someone who commands attention because they claimed worthiness as their birthright and so they’re a walking permission slip for us all to feel worthy.
