ACTION, CONFIDENCE AND LEADERSHIP
Libra full moon reflection:
‘The balance of my strength, softness and compassion creates an inspiring leader’
As the moon swells into fullness it is bringing all of the layers to the surface that have been bubbling within us the last few weeks in this momentous time.
The Libra full moon squares both Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn (who are in conjunction) and may highlight our distance from each other, our yearning for connection, our intimacy dynamics, power dynamics, anger we may be holding, and a lot of our vulnerabilities. Like a high tide it will bring our internal world and subterranean depths closer to the shore to examine.
There’s really nothing I can say poignant enough to explain the gravity and the layers of what is happening right now, because I, like you, am deep in the middle of it too, and it will require a lot more hindsight to make complete sense of.
It’s a full spectrum of confusing and chaotic, to exciting and enlightening. We are each dealing with the change that is evolving in front of our eyes daily in our own way. And what hasn’t been looked at, may pop in to say hello with this full moon.
Like any full moon, brightening light makes the darker parts more visible by bringing them to our attention, to acknowledge and become aware of, and if we apply conscious action to this cycle, we can choose to let go what does not serve us. It creates more contrast. So the swing between light and shadow is real, and we are likely to see that play out on the world stage within the Libra moon / Aries sun axis.
Libra has a way of pulling on our heartstrings with its sweetness, creativity and focus on beauty, connection and relationships. But Libra does not want to cause any disharmony, so this square to Jupiter/Pluto is not in usual Libra fashion. Too much talk, passivity, blind cooperation and softness makes for no real direction or inspired action.
Polar opposite Aries on the other hand, without softness and consideration is all confrontation, aggression, explosive anger and ignorant leadership. We need a balance of warrior strength and heart-felt compassion right now.
Take note of your self dialogue at the moment. Are you sabotaging or supporting? Have you been hard on yourself to make time in isolation as useful as possible? Is there anger present or the inability to action something? Have you been whittling away time with no real direction? Are you just fixated on the outside world and what others are saying? Or are you completely in your own world - you’re ok, so whatevs...?
What are you telling yourself? When we go through periods of transformation, it is important to up the self love and be very aware of the deeper inner dialogue. What beliefs feel expansive or contractive? What inner dialogue is outdated and not supportive of our growth? Let the moon burn that up and purify it. Look back to your Aries new moon intentions for seeds planted.
Balance is key right now. It is ok to do nothing, and it is ok to do as much as possible, but cultivate balance awareness. Yin and stillness feeds yang and movement, and yang feeds back into yin. It’s a personal journey AND a collective journey, but ultimately you decide what is true for you.
With the big players like Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter joining in Capricorn this year (Saturn moved into Aquarius, but will be back) we are dealing with some HUGE themes like time, structure, money, power, government, commitment, sustainability, transformation, belief systems. And mortality.
And that is a big one right now. One which doesn’t travel far from me personally, I have the Saturn Pluto conjunction in my birth chart, born mid AIDS epidemic in 1982 (81-83 will have different degrees of this configuration). It's common knowledge amongst astrologers that this configuration is our time to offer gifts that were seeded in this energy since birth that have now re-surfaced.
Death and time are on my shoulder every day, and they have been the inspiration to being the leader of my own life, to see beyond what we are told is 'true'. To live as if I were going to die. Because death is a truth. For all of us.
It is something that this cycle we are all in together will highlight enormously. What boundaries are we willing to hold in place and fight for so we can live graciously on this earth together?
What does this incarnation look like for you? Regardless of what is going on in the outside world. Our inner realms can never be shackled and our freedom and sovereignty can never be taken away.
But we must ask of ourselves what we want, we must believe that we deserve it, and we must go after it as if our life depends on it. Because put simply, it does. That is what is going to change the world.
To make use of this full moon energy and what may be swirling in your world, channel it into something creative, or call and connect with your loved ones.
Throughout history art has carried us through darkness, poetry and music have opened our hearts in times of struggle or loss, and creativity gives us a canvas to paint out our feelings, freeing them from our bodies and sharing them with the world.
Art provides others with reflections of inner landscapes that sometimes cannot possibly be put into words.
Art is intimacy and connection.
Art is inspiration that there is so much more.
Personally I don’t want to just survive these times. I want to thrive, dance, write, cook, play, connect, create and share.
We are still allowed to find joy when in the underworlds of challenge.

Full moon Libra 18° 43’
Astrologer Evelyn Zuel from The Mystic Parlor says:
The element of air, the gift of foresight, fighting for our worth: this full moon in Libra is bringing up all of the mind games that had been previously played on us as a collective. The great balancer who holds the scales of justice, dear Libra is a fighter herself. Though Libra is often spoken of as being a gentle, sociable and a likable character, there is also a passion for truth and fairness that inspires Libra to initiate change. As an intelligent spear, the weight of this moon is held in the sign of Capricorn. This T square with the sun and the moon initiates a fiery stirring within us to be heard, scratch that, to be seen! Now that we know we have the authority to make critical choices for ourselves and our families based off that internal animal instinct, we can come to trust ourselves and our motives. Our intuition was right after all and so now it is time to build new structures and to trust ourselves while doing it.
The Pluto, Jupiter influence in Capricorn is the trigger point, what is triggering our newfound independence? The rules and authority of the old ways that do not serve humanity and the earth as a whole is being re-balanced. It felt like the scales of justice were heavily tilting to one side of the coin, the illusion of capitalism sits on a mountain made of loose sand. The point of a free market is to let the castle fall so that new businesses and ideas can flourish, evolving humanity with ingenuity and scientific advancements. What would it be like in the world if every person was equipped with all the essential needs so that there was no worry about the lower level energy of survival? Fear is a low energy wave that grips our awareness to the earthly basic needs. Saturn is associated with fear as he is what holds us down via gravity in the earthly realm. What if the system was set up to encourage individuals to thrive? Aries is a fighter, a competitive spirit who uses that animal and sometimes carnal instinct to fulfill all needs. Sometimes the needs of the individual (Aries) outweighs that of the collective so on the full moon, we ask, how does my need for basic survival necessities affect those around me?
The Full moon in Libra draws our attention to how we view ourselves through the reflection of others. Conflict resolution with one on one relationships is not always the easiest since not everyone speaks the same language. Libra likes to talk it out and use words to solve the problem while Aries is wants to show change with actions. Fire cannot live without air so the two become combustible and ignite a larger fire when together. The inner fire of passion is something we all contain and to feel that flame building inside can be a liberating feeling. Balancing the elements of air and fire allows us to become visionaries of our own future.
Friendship is so important to maintaining a well-balanced life, because of the current situation of self-isolation, the longing to connect with our friends is of course becoming an important issue. Without our usual close contacts ineludibly validating our existence, we must now find validation within our own selves. Reconnecting with our own core self is a gift that a lot of us would never accept because there’s often not enough time or not enough money but this very unusual circumstance is proving us wrong. Venus left earthy, value driven Taurus and entered Gemini on April 3rd, the bouncy, quick sign of duality. In esoteric astrology Venus is elevated in Gemini because of its connection to the dual nature in man. The roman numerals for the number 2 is Gemini’s glyph. The internal twin flame connotes that we have all that we need within ourselves to feel complete. Release old patterns that do not serve you regarding any codependency tendencies. What are some activities you never did alone but are now finding more empowerment in doing them by yourself? It is through physical and mental separation from other people that allows us to recalibrate our inner compass. Only after our inner compass has been calibrated can we then merge our being with the other with conviction.
Full Moon Libra Mantras

I initiate change in others with grace
I speak truth from the heart
My internal flame is a beacon for others to follow
