Leo full moon illumination:
‘When I open my heart and share myself with community, we all grow stronger together.’
By now you will have felt the energy building up to this Leo full moon. It feels big, buzzy, and is getting louder the closer we get.
Something is brewing to fullness which still feels unknown.
Unknown is exciting, if we were to know all things, what mystery is left to weave the texture and meaning into our lives?
The unknown is a gift, a space that is beyond what is possible to dream up, beyond our imagination. It is wild to think we cannot possibly imagine what could be around the corner. Rather than fearing it, embrace it. Use it to your advantage, dream the impossible.
Uranus squares the opposing sun and moon bringing an electric air of ‘anything can happen’ energy. Lightening strikes, breakthroughs, breakdowns, inspiration, agitation, turning points.
Relational dynamics may feel some disrupt or tension, so proceed with awareness and loving kindness. Bravery around being authentic, independent and honest to yourself will help quell inner tensions.
Pluto is supporting the full moon purge from the far reaches of our sky as it slowly nears the final degrees of Capricorn. We can feel the other side of what we have been through over the last few years specifically, with the tendrils of change that have started to take hold and are rippling information in from the future! We can feel a new shift.
A newly inspired path or direction can become clearer. A need to move to body to calm any agitation. And a remembering of PLAY to melt away any moon blues is a must.

Astrologer Colin Bedell says:
Most Leos will introduce themselves with, “Yeah but I’m not a typical Leo.” I’ll ask, “What’s a typical Leo to you then?” They’ll answer, “I don’t want to be the center of attention. I hate it. I don’t think I’m arrogant. I struggle with confidence all the time. So I haven’t always related to what I’ve read about Leo”. As a fairly objective observer of all things “Leo”, I think they’re on to something.
Firstly, let us remember - since the Sun rules Leo! - that all of our sun signs are expressions that we have to consciously choose and grow into. Our sun signs aren’t as instinctual as our moon signs. They’re decisions we have to make and expressions that we can choose to turn towards or not. You’ll notice that the more you chose your sun sign, the more vitality, radiance, and joy your life will hold. Now back to Leo. When it comes to a more progressive view of Leo, its courage, not confidence or center-stage stealing, that makes a Leo a Leo. When I write “courage”, I mean the way the ancients and now Dr. Brene Brown contextualize it as, “telling the story of who you are with your whole heart.” Which might mean saying “I love you” or “I’m sorry” first.
Which could mean, owning up to an imperfection or emotion that needs to be discussed. When other people do that in front of us, it’s so striking and commanding. When vulnerability is initiated, when we tell the story of who we are with our whole heart - that’s Leo in the highest sense. Haven’t you noticed vulnerability is the first thing we look for in others but the last thing we’re willing to show? We look it first because it’s so beautiful. It’s so charismatic. It’s so daring. It’s so Leo! And when a Leo decided to do that, they cannot help but be the star in the room because courage and vulnerability is magnificent to behold. Moreover, the brightest star in the Leo constellation is the Lion’s heart - and courage’s root is “cor”, Latin for heart ! - and so the central theme of Leo is we shine the brightest when we tell the story of our whole heart. I don’t know a more magnificent expression of Leo than that. So the next time you think you’re not a typical Leo or or someone tells you they’re not, ask yourself/them, “Tell me about a time you were brave and courageous recently? That’s Leo”.
With the Full Moon in Leo squaring Uranus in Taurus, this would make a T-Square among the fixed signs. Any square, especially a T-Square with the fixed signs, could inspire doubling down, defensiveness, and rigidity if not careful. So think about how Leo ruled courage could set you free from a holding pattern where you’re realizing; my silence, my pride, my stoicism, my withdrawal or defensiveness … they're loosing strategies. The only option left is to tell the truth of who I am with my whole heart because my best thinking got me here and where I am? Not peaceful. Courage is the liberator. Courage is the answer. So think about a hard conversation you need to have that this Full Moon in Leo could help you in and try your best to stay standing, protected, and connected.
