Gemini full moon illumination:
‘Curiosity guides my search for wisdom; changing my mind allows more room for gnosis.'
What deep listenings were heard on the last Scorpio new moon? Go back to read your journal if you wrote about anything, or if intentions were set.
Perhaps it was a place of unknown, that now language and communication can be applied to. Or a subtle felt desire, that now makes more sense in the mind.
The Gemini full moon brings more light for mental integration and inspired action, to move through the castle of mirrors of worldly interactions with a particular perspective, or leave it altogether to find a new one with a different view.
Maybe a decision was made that doesn't sit right anymore, or a reality settled on that proves to be too limiting. It's ok to change our minds with a lens of self curiosity.
This mentally active moon squares Saturn, reminding us that if we require a different path, we need to put something into action and do the work.
With an air of increased optimism thanks to the Sun, Mars and Mercury being in Sagittarius, the outcomes look a little lighter and feel a little less heavy. The view altered, realities diverse.
Truths for you, truths for me, they are all relevant.
Finding connections between them is what makes us human.
Stay curious, it's regenerative.

Full Moon in Gemini at 04° 51’
Astrologer Colin Bedell says:
“Curiosity has its own reason for existing…” Albert Einstein declared in a 1955 edition of Life Magazine. Einstein went on to ask, “…the important thing is not to stop questioning." One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never. Stop. Questioning! The annual Full Moon in Gemini helps us wonder and question curiosity for curiosity’s sake.
There’s much to question when it comes to Gemini. Namely, what does it mean that the introduction of humanity in the zodiac, as Gemini – the mythological twins! – appears in connection? What’s the zodiac trying to teach us about our species as inherently social if we only emerge in connection? Next, does Gemini’s position as the one and only mutable air sign provide us insight into how relationships function? With so many signs, but especially Gemini, there are no definite answers to any of their archetypal meaning but there are questions we want to ask and then our experiences could potentially illuminate the question. Under the Full Moon in Gemini, I want you to question the relationship between communication and connection. As the sole mutable air sign, we want to think of Gemini as the mutable flexibility and the language of air. Flexible language is curiosity.
Perhaps the heart of Gemini is learning how to leverage curiosity to stay in connection. It’s curious how we stop cultivating curiosity in our most meaningful relationships, isn’t it? When we first meet someone, it’s so easy to be curious because novelty demands it. Even then though, we and others can sometimes neglect to ask a single open-ended question to people we’re meeting for the first time. How could we ever begin to establish meaningful relationships without initiating dialogue to understand the person we’re talking to? Have you ever felt an ambiguous disappointment after interacting with someone because they didn’t ask you a question? They weren’t demonstrating curiosity. And it impacted you. Their intent could’ve been so different from the impact and still.
When questioning Gemini as the sign that keeps us connected through communication, then the Full Moon in Gemini may be helping you let go of what prevents you from the cognition and curiosity required to relate. I genuinely believe that the Gottman Institute was correct when it taught the world that it's not malice which leads to most failed connections, but mindlessness. Additionally, co-founder Dr. John Gottman believes that if we make close to 50% of our communication with others an open-ended question, we will initiate more mutual satisfaction in our relationships.
I think the single most important aspect of this Full Moon is its square to Saturn. I am enjoying watching Saturn in Pisces help us develop more fluency in the nonverbal, and the Full Moon in Gemini is the most verbal of them all. So with this aspect, we’re trying to make the implicit more explicit, and the nonverbal a bit more verbal. Perhaps we could also be trying to follow through the way Saturn helps us do in the verbal of our Gemini commitments and agreements. It’s a beautiful blend of the head and the heart. The commitment and communication for connection’s sake.
Aries
Curiosity, Observation, Dialogue & Active Listening
Put the commune in communication, Aries! The Full Moon in Gemini helps you reframe your thinking on communication and even listening as the most powerful winning strategy for connection. Remember to ask more questions, summarize what the speaker just said, and do your best to leverage language as a space for you to connect and understand your loved ones more powerfully.
Taurus
Finances, Security, Clarity of Values & Pleasure
Name it to frame it, Taurus! The Full Moon in Gemini helps you ground down after an expansive six months by identifying your values more carefully. It’s hard to live with what we haven’t named. So use this Full Moon by getting granular about your two values and the behaviors that support you practicing, not just professing, what you care about. From there, integrity awaits and security is inevitable!
Gemini
Identity, Desire, Autonomy, & Freedom
It’s time for a reset, Gemini! The annual Full Moon in your sign is the once-a-year moment to check in on your progress since your birthday and think about where you want to go next. Are you actively choosing behaviors that support your desires? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do? And what kind of results do you want to have in your life?
Cancer
Completion, Surrender, Healing & Spiritual Support
Let go, Cancer. The Full Moon in Gemini is in your closure and completion zone helping you surrender limiting beliefs, patterns, behaviors, and relationships that keep you in disempowering holding patterns. It’s all about the mental – how can you choose different thoughts that help you see this situation more clearly and inspire you to align with solutions and progress?
Leo

Libra
Wisdom, Publishing, Discovery & Higher Education
Apply the wisdom, Libra! The Full Moon in Gemini has you identifying the last six months and finding the pearls of wisdom that you’ve acquired. Think clearly then about how you can enact that wisdom and make it less abstract, and more actionable. This is also a great Full Moon to think about travel and/or returning to school to expand your horizons and your world in powerful ways.
Scorpio
Intimacy, Empathy, Sexuality & Transformation
Eroticism begins in the mind, Scorpio. The Full Moon in Gemini wants you to complete a pattern with sexuality and intimacy that helps you see it less in the external, physical, and more in the internal, and mental. Think less of how long, how hard, how fast, how many but instead see sex as space you can enter not a thing you need to do. It’s all about the imagination!
Sagittarius
Romance, Boundaries, Partnerships & Trust
It takes two, Sag! The Full Moon in Gemini puts opposites attract style chemistry in the air for you and invites a new romantic relationship, deepens the one you’re in, and/or lovingly completes relationships that have served their learning so you can begin reinforcing your strengths and healing some challenges that hold you back from becoming the person you’re capable of.
Capricorn
Habits, Systems, Wellbeing & Routine
Small things only, Capricorn! The Full Moon in Gemini furthers your personal development commitments by helping you to not bite off more than you can chew. It’s all about small goals, small steps, that when compounded cumulatively over time create major changes that empower you to wonderful new results – if you’re moving one step at a time only.
Aquarius
Self-Disclosure, Charisma, Creativity & Lovability
Express yourself, Aquarius! The Full Moon in Gemini lights up your courage and emotional exposure zone helping you tell a story in your heart to someone who genuinely needs to know it. It’ll be scary for sure but if you can see your emotions as a strength, not a weakness (because they are!) then it could inspire you to be even braver and more authentic with your life.
Pisces
Vulnerability, Home, Family & Emotional Agility
Happy homecoming, Pisces. The Full Moon in Gemini is your return to the center and wants you to name, normalize, and possibly even communicate your feelings. The more specific and accurate you become in languaging your emotions in real-time, the quicker you can cultivate the emotional safety you deserve and the feelings, and experiences of home you’re seeking.
