Astrologer Colin Bedell says:
Take the trust leap. When Scorpio is involved, and its effects are felt even more powerfully with Mars in Scorpio forming a conjunction to the New Moon in the same sign, it’s all about trust. Trust – like so many words – is overused but underdefined. Together let us examine the consensus on trust so we know not just what to do, but who to be for the New Moon in Scorpio. My new favorite definition of Trust comes from Rachel Bottsman who names it as “...a confident relationship with the unknown.” I love this definition for both its simplicity and complexity.
When we think of trust, we don’t often think of its twin – the unknown. I find in my own life, and in the conversations I have with clients, family, and friends, we often think about trust as moving from the unknown to the known. Or when there’s “certainty” on the table, that’s how we know we can trust someone or something. According to Bottsman’s definition, we have it upside down. I think that’s a complicated concept because it disproves dominant social messaging. It’s also very simple (but not to be confused with “easy”) in that trust helps us relate, engage, and experience the unknown. The New Moon reflection in Scorpio reminds us that the divine Will of the universe empowers us with foresight and the ability to evolve. When I read this reflection, I was reminded of Scorpio and how we’re crossing the bridge from the known to the unknown with a greater sense of what trust isn’t, and what trust is.
Though no Scorpio transit – or any Astrological sign, or experience – can collapse uncertainty, I do think Scorpio prioritizes the intuitive knowledge we all use when examining the unknown. From dreams, gut hunches, horoscopes, oracle cards, and any and every metaphysical modality in between, these resources help us gain the foresight that helps us have a confident relationship with the unknown. With this in mind, a little doubt and humility is completely normal and even encouraged by Bottsman when it comes to trust. Remember, Bottsman’s definition didn’t say “a certain relationship with the unknown” but “a confident relationship”. So let us normalize the doubt and humility that create a grounded confidence. Without a healthy humility or doubt, it’s not grounded confidence but grandiosity.
This New Moon is opposite Uranus in Taurus and sextiling Neptune in Pisces. With Taurus and Pisces integrated into a Scorpio transit, it speaks to normalizing doubt, leaning on intuitive knowledge, AND experiencing a sense of security to move towards the unknown – because nothing new happens in the known. What we need now is to slowly, and in small ways, trust the new because the changes we seek are there, not here.
Aries
Intimacy, Empathy, Sexuality & Transformation
Go deeper, Aries. The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions and serious willingness to take your relationships to deeper places. It’s wildly uncomfortable but also highly pleasurable if you allow yourself to be seen and known as imperfectly but beautifully as you are. If you want to play, you have to pay. So pay with your defensiveness and play with your desires!
Taurus
Romance, Boundaries, Partnerships & Trust
The Law of Opposites reigns supreme, Taurus! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on romance and how you’re willing to engage in romance by contrast, difference, and the push/pull of opposites. This will strengthen your current stance AND challenge (in a helpful way) the blind spots you may have about trust and defensiveness. Don’t double down, move forward!
Gemini
Habits, Systems, Wellbeing & Routine
What’s your self-talk saying, Gemini? The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on mental health – especially as you notice the way you talk to yourself about yourself when you're in struggle, setback, and/or anticipatory failure. The words you choose directly correlate to your behavior, so talk to yourself with not just a healthy challenge, but compassion too, for success!
Cancer
Self-Disclosure, Charisma, Creativity & Lovability
Take the crab shell off, Cancer! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions to share the story of you who are with your whole heart. Your courage! You can be comfortable in your crab shell or courageously brave, but you cannot be both. Choose carefully! This is the time to share more courageously, not self-protect with armor and lock people out of your life.

What’s your professional truth, Aquarius? The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions for your career. Especially if you’re willing to be even more honest with yourself and others about the changes you want to make, which offer you the sense of freedom and power you’ve been missing. This is the time to share what you want around self-employment, promotion, and growth for your career!
Pisces
Wisdom, Publishing, Discovery & Higher Education
Implement the information, Pisces! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on how you can apply the incredibly powerful awareness you’ve acquired over the last six months. More action, less abstract. More enactment! Move from theory to practice and watch the iniverse reward you with amazingly positive changes that take you to the next level of joy and peace.
