Cancer full moon illumination:
‘I gracefully release all fears of insecurity. I am safe and divinely protected’
Sink in to the arms of the loving earth that holds you. Root into home that you have created for yourself. Cut ties with the past that freezes you within a moment. Move away from hardness.
Release the fear of the unknown and embody the incredible power within. Just as the mother does when she births, that almighty power that can bring life into the world.
Fear has no hold any longer, we can see how it cuts ways through peoples minds, and there is great wisdom available, all around us, to not get caught up in that program.
Summon the divine mother within yourself, that we all have, to catch the tears of release and nourish us back to the centre of the heart. The home. Where it is calm and peaceful. Where it is safe no matter what is going on outside. There may be cyclones and chaos, yet there is stillness and sanctuary within. Create it, grow it, nurture it, protect it. You have this ability.
Be in your safe space if you need to this full moon, it moves big oceans in us. Release what you need to. Bathe if you need to. Move if you need to. Cook if you need to. Cry if you need to.
Leaving you here in the loving arms of Colin this lunation as I swim in the deep waters of almighty creation myself.

Full Moon Cancer at 27° 50’
Astrologer Colin Bedell says:
Cancer Stellium Ram Daas said, “We are all just walking each other home.” May the Full Moon in Cancer light the path for us. The very first introduction of water in Astrology, “Cancer” as the one and only cardinal-water sign is the first “Welcome home.” The heartbreak here is that “home” is often the place where we can receive minimal safety and protection. While “Home” is where we deserve security and belonging the most. Let us bring this to the Full Moon in Cancer.
I’m no expert in spiritual reparenting. Though I do believe that most of us can identify what our family of origin might’ve done too much or too little of in our childhood and thus what we’re responsible for learning as adults. If I could pinpoint what we as children deserved from our caregivers as a centering idea and connect it to what Cancer does magnificently is “responsiveness”.
“Responsiveness” is a concept I learned from a podcast cohost of mine by the name of Elizabeth Earnshaw LMFT, CGT @lizlistens. Earnshaw published an exceptionally instructive book on relational success and the skills that help us optimize our relational quality and it’s “I Want This To Work: An Inclusive Guide To Navigating The Most Difficult Relationship Issues We Face In The Modern Age.” According to Earnshaw, “responsiveness is the foundation of our bonding system.” Further, responsiveness is being cognizant, receptive to, and behaviorally supportive of values and needs. The Gottman Institute, where Elizabeth is a certified therapist, frames responsiveness as “turning towards”. In other words, how we turn towards our loved ones in small moments of joy, distress with cognition, receptivity, and emotional support. Here I hope you can see why responsiveness is foundational for bonds and reflect on your most high-minded Cancerian loved ones and see how they respond to you magnificently. Perhaps you can also grieve for the responsiveness you didn’t receive when you were looking to form the foundational bonds as a child and reflect on what support you may need to form healthier attachments in adulthood.

To that end, I don’t know a better way of “walking each other home” than getting deliberate, intentional, and action-oriented around ways we can understand how we frame responsiveness individually and then turning towards one another so they know they’re not alone. Isn’t that “home”?
This Full Moon is exactly opposite the Sun-Pluto conjunction in disciplined Capricorn. And so with an approach of radical responsibility around the point we discussed earlier - pain/trauma happened by someone else’s hands but all of it is in our hands now - with gentle self-compassion for ourselves, I think we can commence a very powerful healing journey. Pluto helps us release that which we no longer cling to. If we’re willing to take 100% ownership of the inner work required. Then we remember what all cardinal signs want us to which is - that was then, this was now. You can find home right now. You can walk others home right now. If you respond to yourself and respond to others with the tenderness and graciousness of Cancer we can walk each other home together.
