Week Ahead Transits 4th - 10th September

Here we are, almost at the end of another season. The tides of change are among us and the Virgoan Sun is reminding us of all the loose ends we are to tie up before the coming new cycle. This week we move through the second decan of Virgo which shines the light on what talents we have to offer humanity. The second decan of Virgo connects us with the tarot card the 9 of pentacles, a card that traditionally depicts an androgynous/feminine figure standing in front of a bush full of ripe fruit holding a blindfolded hawk wearing a beautiful gown. The artistry in the figure’s gown symbolizes the ego’s attachment to the outcome of our hard labor and creative mastery. We set ourselves up on display, to be adored, judged, critiqued, and analyzed by the outer world. What do we have that we can contribute to the collective? The figure stands in front of a bush of abundance, it is time to manage, discern, and address where within the community we are to put the rest of our energy in the form of our service. As the Moon moves through Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, and Leo, she finds herself in the last quarter square with the Sun. Deflecting the light off of half her face, integrating and taking in only part of the world’s problems, there is a balancing act between outer world expectations and personal preferences.

Jupiter stations retrograde in Taurus causing a bit of delay in financial growth for the markets. There tends to be insecurity and pessimism in what is possible during Jupiter retrograde periods, especially in Taurus and that directly influences how confident people are in their spending power. The internalized Jupiter energy also brings up where we can work on believing in ourselves a bit more. Where do we get easily deflated and seek outside reassurance for our financial success or well-being? Jupiter will remain retrograde until the end of the year, turning direct in Taurus at 5° 34’. A bit of a holiday letdown, however important to note for those who are in retail or are dependent on the holiday season for financial gain.

Sun conjunct Mercury rx, moving Mercury into morning star status along with Venus. Mercury Rx conjunct the Sun brings with it new insights and understandings that aid in the development of the mental faculties. We can see new thoughts and rebellious ideas emerge in the mainstream that trigger changes in the collective’s understanding of concepts that pertain to Virgo: health, service, and daily responsibilities. Mercury asks us to remain open to new ways of thinking and perceiving healthcare practices - or to understand them on a more critical level. There is also a new thought emerging that speaks to how we care for one another and interact with a group of people in need. This may also bring up hot ticket items around healthcare workers’ rights, hospitals, doctors, and the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.

A day to self-soothe and lick any wounds that need a bit of R&R. We’re feeling tender, soft, and wide open. Take gentle care of yourself and those around you. Friday 8th

Feeling the spark of excitement, the energy is high in the ethers and the time is right to take action towards motivating self and others. We can feel heated in debate, on politics, art, fashion, what have you. It feels constructive though, and opens up a dialogue that is worthwhile, necessary, and impactful. There may be moments throughout the day where misunderstandings arise and we need to take a step back to recuperate our emotions.

Saturday 9th

Today we take action and initiate the changes that are so necessary for growth. At some point, there will be a situation that calls for the breakdown of an emotional wall that had been built over time around a particular topic that is associated with where Pluto is currently transiting in your natal chart. This can spur an important need to balance an old way of being and accepting who you are now.
