Enter sexy Scorpio, the Sun ingresses into the sign of the cave dweller this week initiating us into our own primordial depths. The first decan of Scorpio brings with it the 5 of Cups; a study on grief and letting go, the card depicts a person cloaked in black under a cloudy sky, head slumped down peering at the three cups lost. Through the lens of fixed water, the solar rays highlight the necessary steps of growth and regeneration. While Scorpio does tend to have a foreboding mystique around it, the omniscience that Scorpio craves is not solely for self-gain, it is for the desire to adequately dole out the karmic punishment appropriately. Libra is the judge, while Scorpio is the executioner, and Sagittarius is the redeemer. The journey of the Sun through the autumnal signs (spring in the southern hemisphere), tells of the ego’s fall and redemption.
During this week, along with most of next, the 5 of Cups archetype will slowly reveal for us what the process of grieving loss looks like. Right before the Sun moves into Scorpio, it has a once over with Pluto, purging any last bonds, agreements or negotiations that have run their course.
The Moon moves into her last quarter phase in Leo on Thursday at 1:03 am PST. The energies this week are pulling us into the doldrums a bit. The Moon in Leo square the Sun in Scorpio forces a personality check that may or may not necessarily be welcomed. The Leo/Scorpio square can be a toughy, the Lion loves to boast, brag and share all of itself while the Scorpion would have none of those brash expressions, resulting in a minimizing or limiting of the creative self. Tension helps to inspire growth and some of us work best while under pressure (the Marsian and Plutonian types), so many can use this week as a catalyst for implementing, altering and changing how we identify with our creations.
Mercury and Saturn form a union in the sky within the water element at the top of the week, stimulating quick understandings, synchronistic conversations and perceptive support. The light of Mercury is focused with pinpointed precision, picking up on slight shifts and subtle nuance between words spoken. Interest in the mysterious and unearthing taboos from the collective preoccupy the mind of the Scorpion, thus sending Saturn in to solidify what the Scorpion has been investigating. The honest truth can’t be ignored for long, it always inevitably finds a way out into the light. Saturn in Pisces has been supporting the revelatory acts pertaining to the nature of man and their relationship to spirituality, imagination and manifestation. The mind conjures itself into the physical plane this week, be careful what you wish for!
Monday 21st
The quality of our thoughts are aligned with our convictions when Mercury and Saturn form a trine. Today is when all of the deep probing, questioning and analyzing that we have been engaged with comes into a more clear and complete perspective. There is no questioning, pondering or wondering, the Moon and Neptune square pushing for a direct decision based off newfound awarenesses. It is difficult to keep what we feel inside, the tongue is loose and for good reason.

Tuesday 22nd
Welcome to Scorpio season! The season starts out with the Sun square Pluto and Venus trine the North Node of the Moon. The energies are fresh for new prospects in love and relating. It’s time for a little purge, unabashedly releasing allegiances that have been hanging on by a thread opens up so much for future you. Moon in Cancer fortifies what we felt to be true for ourselves and confirms the intuitive hits we have been getting.

Wednesday 23rd
Feeling a little trapped, in need of something more exciting that elicits a sense of purpose and joy can be the exact type of motivation to go outside of the comfort of your own home and explore new terrain. Move the body and get out of the house, the Moon is tap dancing with Mars, causing a lot of energy to surface that needs to be utilized in a creative way. The Moon enters Leo in the late eve/morn making the nighttime the right time to come alive.

Thursday 24th
We can find ourselves at odds with the grandiosity that is broadcast while the needs of many are ignored. The Sun and Moon square in the signs Scorpio and Leo, and the two couldn’t be more different in how they represent the truth. One is somber, direct and painfully honest while the other prefers to be engaging, nail biting and give a good show. Going against the grain and actually choosing to go your own direction is an empowering move today. Mars and Uranus are in sight of each other and are injecting their own dose of electric shock into the collective which will get us to move out of stagnation.

Friday 25th
Finding the right words doesn’t come so easy, and maybe it’s not always what you say but how it is said and the tone in which it comes out that does all the talking. We can use today as a workshop in effective tonal communication. It is what isn’t being said that stands out the most. The rest of the week is not as eventful which should be a relief, knowing that we have a couple of days of slowing down.

Saturday 26th
The Moon squares Uranus before entering Virgo. Before we can get organized Uranus comes in to cause a stir so that we can find the missing pieces more easily. Virgo lets us focus on the day to day and prep for the week ahead, cleaning up after our Leonian creative outburst from the previous days. The energy is winding down for a short spell.

Sunday 27th
Moon square Venus and opposite Saturn makes us focus our attention on beautification projects that help to bring more balance and harmony in our environment. The awareness of this might first come out as an irritation which triggers a spontaneous trip to home depot to buy three gallons of bright pink wall paint. Luckily Saturn is pulling the strings with his reasoning abilities and the three gallons of paint turn into a handful of swatches, prepping and priming rather than shooting the gun too soon on aesthetic changes is a more balanced approach to the energies at play.
