Venus Enters Sagittarius
Venus Enters Sagittarius
17th PST 12:29 / 18th AEDT 6:29
Following a short three-week stint in Scorpio, Venus enters Sagittarius, making us restless in matters of the heart. Complexity is traded for candor. Fire melts ice. Here, love is less a matter of clocking power dynamics or leveraging passion than of connecting through experience.
We all have different takes on romance, born from unique heartbreaks, trials or success stories. These experiences have shaped our understanding of what it means to be human. The coming days encourage us to compare notes. What we value most now is honesty, because concealment denies us the opportunity to discover more about each other and the world.
Because we acknowledge and accept our differences under Venus in Sagittarius, we prize our freedom more highly too. Compromise is not our strong suit now – not because we’re determined to get our way, but because we’re disinclined to force our desires on others and therefore deprive them of their autonomy. We want travel companions and mind-expanding conversations by choice, not coercion. Therefore, the love of free will can trump a love of partnership. If a partnership *does* arise over the next three weeks, it will be between those brought together by a shared thirst for adventure!
Venus and Saturn will clash on October 28, adding strain to existing relationships and delaying the consummation of others. Lofty expectations can set us up for disappointment. Don’t lose faith now – you may just need to get more creative in your courtship game. Venus and Jupiter also oppose on November 3, intensifying our love lives, but advising temperance in the face of excess. Venus squares off with Neptune just before exiting Sagittarius on November 9, warning us against putting a lover on a pedestal.
