Sun = Virgo 17°5’ – Libra 0° 44’
Moon = Pisces – Gemini
The Sun ingresses into Libra at the tail end of the week, and we are saying good bye to Virgo season. Each year the shift from Virgo to Libra provokes anticipation for a fresh start. As the weather begins to show signs of change, so too does the temperament of the land. The last decan of Virgo is associated with the tarot card 10 of Pentacles, a card that depicts a multigenerational family with coins covering them, representing abundance and security through the generations. Health is wealth, and inheritance doesn’t only pertain to finances but also what we inherit physically through our genetic lines. Virgo season helps us to become organized in our resource management, to identify what we are lacking in order to improve upon what we are naturally gifted with and to show appreciation for what we have received through previous generations. These themes will become more prevalent as the year 2025 progresses and the partial lunar eclipse illuminates much of these topics in subtle ways throughout the week.
We are now fully in the Eclipse portal. That’s right – the eclipse cycle has come back around to open and close big chapters and initiate us into the Pisces/Virgo archetypal axis. How to navigate and show up in relationships, renegotiate alliances and create more space for independence has been a major theme over the last year and a half with the north and south nodes of the Moon having been in Aries/Libra. This week’s eclipse will most likely be less impactful than the full solar eclipse to come two weeks later, but it will still offer a glimpse into the major life experiences that come into full view next year. On the 17th/18th September, the full Moon in Pisces at 25° 41’ gently lulls us into a dreamy slumber where memories and long lost impressions come to the surface of our conscious awareness. A lot of focus is turned towards health, healing and day-to-day protocols, as well as expanding the connection to our spirituality.
Venus ingresses into Scorpio, kicking up the spice level for the month. Venus in Scorpio can have a preoccupation with what one possesses, be it a lover or an object of desire, the Scorpion way is to protect vulnerabilities at all cost. While Venus is in Scorpio we may find ourselves becoming more direct with what we want and expect from others, along with being more driven by deeper desires that are mysterious to the conscious mind. It’s like instincts take over and there is another driver at the wheel. This can be a fun time for those who would like to explore their yearnings that remain repressed in a mindful way.
Mercury opposes Saturn retrograde and then squares Jupiter, pitting logic and common sense at odds. Saturn has a sobering effect on Mercury, forcing a grounded and practical approach to problem solving. What Mercury in Virgo wants to do is get lost in the details of a thing and Saturn in Pisces wants a well-rounded, holistic vision first. These two compete when it comes to the method of operations. Do you move forward with the intuitive knowing that the vision is a part of a bigger mission or do you get caught up in the small print, the facts and the rules for how to get there? Both are important and necessary but the mind sometimes has a hard time reorienting itself from the macro to the micro. Considering whether you are focusing too much on the dream vs the details to getting there and vice versa will help to balance out any wasted mental energy.
Monday 16th
The Full Moon energies are trickling in as the Moon enters Pisces today. Making a trine to Mars, there is a swell of emotions to move through which can be redirected in an impactful way. It seems easier to ‘do’ rather than to ‘say’ anything and there won’t be much time to explain as the lunar instincts are kicked into high gear. Venus opposes Chiron offering up a moment to rebalance our relationships. This can feel like an either or situation but trust that there is a compromise in there somewhere.

Tuesday 17th
Some harsh lessons can come through today regarding emotional regulation and emotional responsibility with the Moon connecting with Saturn and square Jupiter, just before the eclipse. We are able to see where we need to continue to fortify our resilience as spiritual and emotional beings, listen and learn how to be responsive with others’ strong emotions and separate what is yours and what is not your responsibility to take on. This is supported by Uranus offering up conversations and new information that expands our understanding of how emotions are very powerful motivating energies but they are not the one and only truth. Let go of the wound.

Wednesday 18th
Logic and sound thought aren’t necessarily on our side today with Mercury opposing Saturn retrograde. There can be situations where we feel stifled by illogical fears either coming from within or outside of ourselves. Don’t give into the worry and try to be equanimous in your approach to the day. On the other hand, Mercury opposite Saturn can be sobering for those who might need a little grounded guidance.

Thursday 19th
Loneliness is an epidemic that has plagued us since the advent of smart phones and social media. Today we can bridge that gap and make conscious choices to reach out to those friends that you haven’t heard the voices of in many moons. Sun trines Uranus, offering up a special dose of well-established friendship action while the Moon unearths underlying wounds for the sake of evolution. A pleasant moment sharing a niche interest with someone expands the heart.

Friday 20th
This is a 7 of Cups sort of day where we may be pulled between what the reality of a situation and our idealized version of it is. Moon square Pluto inevitably unveils what has been hidden and shares with it the clarity that Pluto provides after what has been purged has been pushed out of the emotional body. We may also go through a bit of a diet clash, seeking comfort over health, however once the Moon enters Taurus the energy stabilizes and there is effort made toward grounding the body in healthy ways.

Saturday 21st
The sensation of wanting to sell it all, run away and start a new life in a foreign country is high today. Sun trine Pluto is ushering in some much needed expunging of old ego identifiers and the Moon meets with the old alien planet Uranus, pushing for freedom and complete unrestraint. This could be the day that you say “f it, I’m doing the thing” as Mercury squares Jupiter, putting all logic aside. Take the risk, make the leap, today you have the chops to do so.

Sunday 22nd
Sun enters Libra while Venus enters Scorpio and the Moon enters Gemini! There’s a lot of transition happening in the sky, which also tends to sway the waters inside of us. Officially now in Libra season (according to the tropical zodiac) and we are full on chitter chattering away! The social energies are alive and conversations are going off in every direction. Introverts beware, strangers will likely try to approach you to engage in innocent, light hearted conversation. Venus squares Pluto; however, it then shimmies into Scorpio, adding intensity to the connections we make today.
