Some sultry and passionate planetary alignments come through with Pluto stationing retrograde, the Moon and Sun in first quarter square, and Venus ingressing into Aries. Venus slips into Aries on the 30th at 10:15am PDT, awakening a passionate flame after resting a slumber in Pisces and meeting with Saturn last week. Venus is ready to get to work! She is hot and bothered and seeking excitement through a relegated purpose. Venus in Aries is associated with the 4 of Wands in the tarot and this card depicts a couple standing under a pergola with ribbons of celebration. The theme of this card is celebration for a stable and directed purpose. Once Venus in Aries knows the rules and understands the mission, then she can revel in her destined path. While Venus transits Aries she will meet first-hand with Neptune — the planet of dreams, illusions and healing — then meet with Chiron the wounded healer. This month we will be given many opportunities to heal through acts of personal forgiveness and radical self-acceptance. For some, this means taking it upon yourself to bring people into your inner world for the awareness of how hyper-independence hinders one’s growth vs encourages it — is made quite clear. For others, this Venus cycle will aid in finding more confidence to detach from co-dependent situations by seeking self-gratification rather than seeking that within the other.
Pluto stations retrograde later this week as the Moon in Leo squares the Sun in Taurus. The Pluto retrograde phase lasts too long in my opinion, but astronomically it lasts for six months. Pluto’s orbit is oblong and wide, affecting it’s retrograde and transit cycles moreso than many of the other planets within our solar system. When Pluto stations retrograde, it is slowly passing over a point in our charts that it has most likely passed over once or twice before, solidifying a new form of being within that planet’s existence in our lives. For instance, when transiting Pluto squares, opposes or trines a natal Venus, the effect will last for almost three years total — including Pluto’s direct and retrograde motion. This is why Pluto is more of a slow-burning rather than an abrupt disbursement of energy that a Mercury or Jupiter cycle would bring in. This Pluto retrograde cycle will last until October 13th, station direct at 1° Aquarius and will not station retrograde again until 2027. While Pluto is retrograde, we are met with the burning desires of unmet needs which blazes a trail to our outer circumstances. We are awakened from a slumber of complacency, no longer accepting the bare minimum, we seek and go after what we need in life: sexual intimacy, passion and urges. Pluto is the plunger, excavating what we have been too afraid to confront within ourselves. The raw material that makes reminds us we are merely animals living amongst kin.
Venus > Aries and conjuncts Neptune for the last go around at 1° Aries. First time before her retrograde motion was on January 31st, second time as a retrograde morning star = March 28th, and her last and final until they meet again next year is on the 2nd. The ability to heal oneself does not lie within the hands of another. This is the last time that Venus will be meeting with Neptune this year to help solidify a sense of mystical mourning that happens when we come into contact with reality, regarding what our expectations have been. Venus in Aries is extremely self-reliant, to the point of hyper-independence at times and taking help or advice from another is difficult when the planet of mutual reciprocity finds herself in the self-sufficient sign of Aries. Neptune is also the planet of water, healing and purification, any ill-conceived concepts of co-dependence and self-abandonment come to the forefront for clearing. When Venus moves into alignment with Neptune, it is the perfect time to heal the individuated parts of ourselves that request independence when we should be reaching out, the parts of ourselves that retracts into self-defense when we should be disarming our hearts.
Monday 28th
After a hit with Uranus, the Moon finds her way into more mental stimulation via the sign Gemini. Today is a very mercurial and vibrant day for exchanging ideas and pursuing new inspirations. The mind is alert, alive and shimmering with bright thoughts which light up the day. We’re feeling stable amongst the chaos and like we can handle any hurdles that come our way with a dose of optimistic realism.

Tuesday 29th
The energy of the Gemini Moon is still in full swing and there is an easy flow of reciprocity that aligns when we communicate openly and directly. The Moon trine Pluto helps to open us up to seeking information from places which at one point felt hidden or blocked. Talking about potent topics comes easily and is also encouraged throughout the day. There is also opportunity to engage with light-hearted, fun banter, a little bit of competition never hurt anyone and it aids in developing confidence. Like an itch you cannot scratch, the Moon sextile Mars compels desires for more experiences and expanded curiosity.

Wednesday 30th
Venus enters Aries turning the levels up on hot, hot heat in all of our relations. We seek to go after what we want without taking 'no' as an answer. The desires to start fresh, start over and burn up the past are blazing through. Moon is also conjunct Jupiter, proving that what we feel is the sermon and righteous path for all, but be forewarned that this level of confidence, untamed could lead to a bigger deflation later on. Magnanimous and boisterous levels of charm flow through our veins. The Moon square Saturn is testing the limits and pushing boundaries.

Thursday 1st
Moon enters Cancer and the waves of the last couple of days come crashing down. The high highs and low lows come tempered through introspection rather than the flamboyant outward joys of curious calamity. A reassessment of the nature of our emotions and how they consistently ebb and flow based off environmental stimuli. Moon square Venus and Neptune, throwing our attention to how much we have been craving artistry and magic. A chance to overthrow the mundane world for a more fantastical one awaits today.

Friday 2nd
Venus joins with Neptune in Aries for her last romp with the ethereal planet. Healing the relationship with the self is of utmost importance for today. There may be moments of introspective awareness that come to light where you have been abandoning others for the sake of a false dialogue around hyper-independence OR on the opposite end of the scale, over identifying with another through self-abandonment. This isn’t the time to talk it out but a time to feel and observe. Take a step back from all relationships and try to find the common thread between them all.

Saturday 3rd
Magic, mystique, performance, excitement are all terms that color the energy for the day before we enter the first quarter square moon tomorrow. Passion is pulsing, a dream is coming alive, what it exactly is, is yet to be seen but with the Moon ingressing into Leo, we first animate and act it out. The thespian within takes hold, to adopt a way of being through one’s lived experience as a new vessel is a feat not to be taken lightly. To step outside of one’s established identity requires a type of courage only few will accomplish. The Leo Moon entrances us to drop the ego and explore alternatives for self-expression which is more authentic and pure than before.
Moon trine Saturn, Moon > Leo at 4:29 am PDT, trine Neptune, trine Venus, opposite Pluto, conjunct Mars.
Sunday 4th
The Quarter Moon hits in the sign of Leo, the fixed square between Leo and Taurus will enjoy the throes of pleasure with no qualms about it. Pluto stations retrograde today as well and there may be an underlying, lingering energy of change, that something is on the verge of shifting into a new paradigm from within. Information comes to light which will be useful to secure one’s desires and needs.
