Venus Enters Aries

Venus Enters Aries
30th PDT 10:16 AM / 1st AEST 3:16 AM
As Venus enters Aries, it unites with Neptune — the first meetup between these planets in Aries in over 150 years! It is said that Neptune is the 'higher octave' of Venus. Both planets orient us to love. Venus helps us to attune to love’s physical properties – beauty, attraction, sensory desire, animal magnetism. Neptune invites us to explore love’s mystical dimension – the care and concern for others that transcends reciprocal exchange, how we connect soul to soul. Forgiveness, compassion and sacrifice are all expressions of Neptunian love.
For the past fourteen years, Venus and Neptune have been meeting up in Pisces — Neptune’s home turf, and a sign that lends itself to romance, often unrequited, but always significant. Boundaries blurred, feeding fantasies, but also exacerbating self-deception, making for rude wake-up calls when escaping INTO someone else inevitably became unhealthy or untenable.
Venus’ entrance to Aries, and subsequent conjunction with Neptune, brings a fiery quality to this pair’s dynamic that we haven’t experienced since AT LEAST their last meetup in fellow fire sign Sagittarius, back in the early 1980s. For some of us, that means we’ve NEVER experienced this particular brand of incendiary, INTOXICATING, sensuality.
For the first week of May, expect to negotiate themes of desire/sacrifice, possibility/impossibility, me/we, before Venus locks into a supportive trine to Mars in Leo, allowing us to consummate something that will defy attempts at consummation any earlier than mid-May. Sensitivities promise to be high, but unlike previous years, the dissolving of self into other will not be as pronounced. The shorthand: less confusion, more exhilaration.
Venus will transit Aries until June 5/6.
