Sun = Gemini 5°17’ – Gemini 12°0’
Moon = Taurus – Virgo
A fresh New Moon in Gemini uncovers novel articulations, cheeky prose and circumstantial fluctuations. The New Moon sits at 6°05’ on the 27th at 12:02 am ET /26th at 8:02 pm PDT . The chance to seed a new perception and tone of reality is initiated through this Moon cycle. Uranus brings a curative quality of chaos up from the roots, a new baseline for 'normal' is envisioned and blooms where empty potential once laid. Making quick adjustments to new timelines is what makes the medicine go down, beefing up the nervous system. The ever revolving turnstile of thoughts doesn’t let us sit in one place for too long, so have a bag of shiny objects to settle the hungry mind which thirsts for new stimulation.
The archetypal journey through the tarot, while the Sun travels through Gemini, coincides with the 8, 9, and 10 of Swords. The New Moon is in the first decan of the unfettered butterfly that is our beloved mutable air sign, and this decan tells the tale about how one little piece of information can turn into a whole mountain to climb. The 8 of Swords traditionally depicts a person standing blind folded with arms bound while surrounded by eight human sized swords all sticking into the ground. The person in the image has their sense of sight blocked, making it difficult to discern all of the details that surround them. Foresight and forward movement is withheld when we are unable to use all of our senses to understand the information that surrounds us. This card aims to teach us where our blind spots are in our cognition. Sometimes these blind spots create unintentional mental road blocks that stunt us in our quest for growth and intellectual understanding of any given area of life. But with Pluto and Uranus’ combustive potential, we find ways to blast through these limiting beliefs.
Mercury cazimi the Sun at 9°01’, transitioning into evening star phase. This is a superior conjunction, meaning that Mercury is on the other side of the Sun farthest from earth, and is moving towards its maximum speed. Though Mercury and the Sun show a conjunction in the astrological charts, this particular point of conjunction is paralleled with themes associated with a full moon release. The conscious mind is obstructed by the Ego’s will for just a few days, whispering its newly formed plans into existence. Patience is the antithesis of longing, pining and wanting. Patience comes only when we are in a full acceptance of all circumstances, a deep trust in self and the environment to unfold in perfect order. While Mercury is cazimi the Sun, the mind can rest while channeled orders vibrate through the will’s calendar.
At the tail end of the week, Venus meets with the wounded healer Chiron in Aries at 25°44’, stimulating a healing process within an important relationship. Last year the two enjoyed their yearly connection on April 21st. Chiron sits just between Saturn and Uranus in its orbit around the Sun and has been traveling through the cardinal fire sign since February of 2019. Chiron will continue healing the collective’s relational integration with self, identity, individuality and independence until 2027, giving us ample time to implement self-help tools in our romantic relationships. Venus and Chiron shows us how we can continue to show up in our relationships, taking personal responsibility when needed so as to live authentically and in alignment with our own perceptions of ourselves.
Monday 26th
Though the days leading up to and after the New Moon provoke an introspective calmness, this New Moon is ripe with social energy, primping the phone and the gas tank for non-stop stimulation. Big potential for bouncing off the walls due to Uranus’ influence over the New Moon, it invokes latent inspirations which have been percolating. A great day to take a day trip and change up the routine and remain open to all new potential experiences which aim to crack open internal biases and judgements. Mercury is sextile Neptune as well, aiding in generating an open minded and empathetic approach to life.

Mercury is trine Pluto today activating the investigative mind, this is a great time to invest mental brain space to topics that require stern concentration and hyperfocus. Dark humor is one of many outlets that aids in navigating life’s difficult circumstances, especially when the horrors of the world become too unbearable. Shedding some of the worries that have been building up through writing, storytelling, music or deep conversation can help to free up mental space that can be utilized in more productive ways than sitting in anxiety or worry. Let out whatever it is that you have been burdened by as of late.

Wednesday 28th
The Moon pulls us through a bit of an emotional roller coaster throughout the day, directing the general focus on how little information there is in order to feel productive. It can feel like we’re coming up short in many ways, experiencing road blocks that require a cognitive shift. Put on the thinking caps and try to pull creative solutions out from unorthodox places. Turn the problem or issue on its head and try viewing it from a completely different perspective. The Moon enters Cancer just after mixing with Jupiter, thrusting big moods to the surface. It is probably best to move with caution in conversations.

Thursday 29th
Mercury is being blasted by the Sun’s light and goes into its phase of invisibility for the next few days, making it hard to concentrate and think clearly. The conscious mind is being obstructed by the ego and this can create some unexpectedly wild discussions and discourse to come through. The cosmic rays of the Sun illuminate a higher considerations, insights and epiphanies that are made conscious through the act of verbal release. Using the body as a vessel to channel cosmic wisdom is an artform that is available to everyone – today may very well be one of those days where any and all experimentation with the voice can activate an intellectual awakening.
Mercury cazimi the Sun at 9°01’ Gemini.
Friday 30th
Finding a way to get your emotional needs met can cause a bit of frustration, especially when there is little patience to be had in the process. The Moon squares Venus today activating an emotional response from perceived denial of any kind. The Moon in Cancer is sensitive to rejection today before she moves into the proud sign of Leo, but we can easily brush it off and continue emanating kindness and compassion. The Moon in Leo opens the heart center, which craves harmony and teamwork, leaving us with the ability to transmute any immature emotional upsets or outbursts into a positive, healing moment.

Saturday 31st
A satisfying day with little obstructions to plans, communications and general flow! The Moon in Leo is enjoying whatever entertainment comes out of the day with compatible engagements and pleasantries. A simple yet nourishing chat with a friend, acquaintance or even a stranger erodes any bout of cynicism that exists. Words come easy in self-expression, so take the time to engage in small talk which helps to lighten the mood. Pick up the phone and call that friend you haven’t spoken to in months or shoot a quick text to let someone know that you are thinking about them. Chances are, they are thinking about you too!
Moon sextile Sun, sextile Mercury.
Sunday 1st
Venus and Chiron meet up today, curating an opportunity to admit to ourselves where in our relationships we are not taking ownership over our own actions and behaviors. With the Moon triggering much needed changes, there may come a moment when we are asked to reflect on how our actions have influenced personal relationships up to this point. The moon ingresses into Virgo later on leaving space for self-analysis that proves productive.
