Happy Birthday Sagittarius! The Sun ingresses into the sign depicted by the centaur, a half-man half-beast who shoots his arrow out into the center of the galaxy, pointing it into the great unknown. On the 21st at 11:56 am PDT we enter into a new astrological season, one of which inevitably pushes us to seek greater truths, insights and wisdom. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign, the energy within the Sagittarian spirit is constantly swirling, changeable and anticipatory for new experiences. The way in which Sagittarius gleans wisdom is through first-hand experience, being the vessel for the Universe to witness itself through action is how Sagittarius lives and breathes. While the Sun radiates its light through the diviner of wisdom, take moves to push yourself beyond your preconceived notions of self, the ego is certainly an important aspect to our individuality, but it to be molded and stretched to house a greater level of expansion.
Pluto enters Aquarius Oon the 19th at 12:30 pm PDT. Pluto entering Aquarius has been on the minds of all astrophiles for a while. The entrance of Pluto into the fixed air sign, which is depicted as a human pouring water out of a vessel, is long awaited by many in various different spiritual and philosophical schools of thought. Pluto will remain in Aquarius for the next 20 years, shifting and sifting through every single aspect and detail that makes up what we know of the Aquarian archetype thus far. Astrology is only as informative as the culture it resides within, how we view Plutonian themes and archetypes will be based off our individual experiences along with our cultural, political, ancestral and religious affiliations which can only exist as radically as the social structure will allow.
Upon Pluto’s first discovery through a telescope on February 13th in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh, major steps in particle physics were making their way towards advancements which eventually led the way to nuclear fission, a process that splits atoms to release energy in the form of heat and radiation. Pluto the planet and what it represents can quite literally be equated to the term and everything related to it as 'power'. Now think about how the concept and also the practice of power has evolved over just the last 50 years, with the onset of nanotechnology and other advancements, we went from a carriage drawn by horse ‘power’ to the high speed rail that runs on electricity. The way in which humans perceive their place on the earth is in relationship to how far and how fast we can travel from point A to point B and that requires …. Yes, you guess it, power! The archetype of Aquarius gives us key words such as; the collective, unconventional, progressive, independence, radical, humanitarianism and eccentric, of which our relationship to such concepts will change drastically while Pluto goes through and splits each hair to procure the quintessential essence. You may not feel much the day Pluto enters Aquarius, taking some time to journal your own thoughts on culture, community, and activism may set the stage for your own personal evolution through the Aquarian archetype to reclaim your individual source of power.
Two of the planets that deal with mass communication, dissemination of ideas/beliefs/information, among many other things come into a notable aspect this week. Mercury and Jupiter are in mutual reception, meaning that Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is in the opposite sign Gemini, and Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is in Sagittarius. They are viewing one another head on in opposition. What is being said is being taken with more optimism than what is warranted or the flip, more personal. The temptation to write serious issues off as blasé, a joke or a mere spectacle feeds into the cognitive dissonance that shapes the collective mindset when these two planets meet face to face. Jupiter in Gemini is quick to come to conclusions based off little information while Mercury in Sagittarius can get lost in the message and idea of a thing. To wit, dark comedy ensues, the meme lords come out to play and new 'creative' turn of phrases enter into the zeitgeist.
Monday 18th
We find ourselves in need of validity for how we are feeling and what we are saying. Comfort and validation can come through shared dreams of the future. Sensitivities are heightened with the Moon in Cancer, she also makes an aspect to Venus that brings the focus onto where the balance is off in relationship needs. An adjustment can be made today that supports the wellbeing of an important relationship. Mercury’s opposition with Jupiter has us grin and bear it, laughing through our teeth and also reveling in any sheer ridiculousness. It’s a race to see who can make the cheekiest meme.

Tuesday 19th
Pluto enters Aquarius! Today is the day that signifies for many the transition period between the ages. The shifts will be subtle to most, like how small ripples in a pond slowly grow into larger waves but until then, the microcosmic view of the Pluto transit is still but a whisper. Health and healing is a strong topic throughout the day as Mercury makes contact with Chiron the healer. Mercury also has its ties to healthcare and pharmaceuticals so collectively there could be positive movement towards information and access. Individually we can learn of a new method, modality or routine that will aid in our healing.

Wednesday 20th
A grand water trine between the Moon, the Sun and Neptune rx doses us with a high level of romance, dreams, visions and tender memories. A well of good wishes and pleasantries is what we need to fuel the ego before the Moon ingresses into Leo. It feels good to do good things for people and the reciprocity that we receive back for the exchange sparks a bit of energy in the universe that gets banked in the collective karma jar. Paying it forward never yielded in such high rewards!
Moon trine Neptune rx, trine Sun, Moon > Leo at 5:50 am, conjunct Mars, trine NN.
Thursday 21st
Happy Solar Return Sagittarius, you wild beast you. Just as the Sun ingresses into Sagittarius the life force for the solar system meets with a sextile to Pluto at 0° Aquarius. The two see each other with a hand shake and a nod that seals the collaborative motivations between the planet of deep evolution and the collective Ego. A new belief system and a new way of understanding the religious/philosophical underpinnings of a culture is accelerated today, something akin to a baby zeitgeist.
Moon sextile Jupiter rx, trine Chiron rx, trine Mercury, Sun > Sagittarius at 11:56 am, sextile Pluto.
Friday 22nd
Second quarter Moon today projects the Full Moon themes that came to fruition last week through external means. The last quarter relationship between the Sun and the Moon activates typically an event that forces us to perceive our reality outside of ourselves, through the lens of the world around us and to see how we are affected and influenced by the environment we find ourselves in. The Moon in mutable Virgo resurrects anxieties around doing and being enough, so see where this projection of lack is coming from and then in Virgo fashion, excavate the impurities.
Moon square Uranus rx, Moon voc for 9 hour 46 min from 5:15 am – 2:59 pm, Moon -> Virgo at 3 pm, square Sun, Venus sextile Saturn, Mars trine NN.
Saturday 23rd
Logical and practical expressions of love and appreciation are welcomed today but any over the top, superfluous forms of nurturing can leave the other party feeling smothered. The Moon opposes Saturn requesting a balance between being taken care of and taking care of others. Sometimes we feel as though we are helping a situation without realizing that we may in fact be facilitating a scenario wherein we are actually operating from a place of guilt.
Moon opposite Saturn, trine Venus.
Sunday 24th
Feeling caught in the middle is an understatement. The Moon enters the T square dance between the Mercury/Jupiter opposition. The Sagittarius/Gemini axis pits the Virgo sensibilities in overdrive with its need to suss out all of the various polarizing opinions, details and data. When the Moon moves into an opposition with Neptune all bets are off and trying to find out the system or process for differentiating noise with legitimate information is out the window. The nervous system is a bit more sensitive today which offers ample moments to get in tune with the body.
