Saturn Stations Direct
Saturn Stations Direct

After four and a half months, cosmic taskmaster Saturn stations direct and we’re back in business. Saturn’s retrogrades mark periods when karma comes home to roost. Back when it stationed in June, I referred to it as a 'cosmic audit', primed to provoke a rude wake-up call, given its placement in idealistic Pisces. Saturn’s assignment: to force us to recognize where lethargy or impracticality have been steering our decision-making.
Now that we’ve endured the splash of cold water to the face, what next? Saturn serves to remind us that time is never completely on our side. As human beings navigating an ephemeral existence, we have a relatively limited amount of it to work with. With Saturn in Pisces, we risk poorly utilizing our imaginative potential, because determining when to commit to the bit versus when to draw energetic boundaries is a vague practice now. We’ve had the past few months to examine where we are not living up to our creative, emotional or spiritual responsibilities – and to clock how truly uncomfortable that has felt. As Saturn goes direct, we are granted a better handle on perceived limitations as well as greater incentive to restructure our game plan. Yet we must be savvy about when to trust the flow versus when to man the oars. This will allow us to properly channel inspiration without becoming adrift in the fantasy. Saturn’s turnaround also suggests that we need to collectively get serious about practicing compassion (which is *not* the same thing as bypassing) despite the discomfort of that prospect.
Saturn will be direct until July 12/13 of 2025. Its next retrograde will begin in the sign of Aries.
