In a land far far away, the only way that one could communicate with another person was to physically move one’s body to where another person was standing. Communication, therefore, was established in the feet, the body and our literal movement through time and space. It was, at first, a choice. Interacting with another person is still a choice, to a certain extent, but it mostly is relegated to a small device that fits in the palm of our hands and feeds us people to interact with. With no movement involved besides that of a quick swipe of the finger, like a magic wand, there appears the entire world to talk to and learn from. Because we can access the world, it becomes a baseline for what we expect from social platforms and, thus, an expectation for humanity — to connect with one another on a global level, something once reserved for diplomats and political figures. Cultures can now crossover to other parts of the world in a click, without the due process of the 'free' market and political glamour. Jupiter, in its retrograde motion in Gemini, has certainly been tearing up our foundational conceptions of how, when and what to communicate and share with each other. Uranus, the planet of change and disruptions in the fixed earth sign Taurus has been shifting our values around connection and friendship. This week during the Full Moon in Leo, Uranus plays a big role in the evolution of our relations and forces a new way of engaging with the social world.
The Moon culminates into fullness in Leo on the 12th at 5:53 am PST / 13th at 12:53 am AEDT. The Full Moon meets at 24°6’, just at the tail end of the fixed Leo/Aquarius axis. This axis, when highlighted, brings into our awareness the dance between artist and audience. The culture which inspires an artist – Aquarius being the culture or general populace and Leo being the artist which desires to inspire – cannot be taken out of the context of the society that it came. Context is what gives the gift of relevancy, seen as the spark of inspiration that bounces back and forth between artist and muse. If there was no one to hear a Leo sing in the forest, did it even really happen? The audience is half the equation of the performance, without anyone to bear witness, what then is the point if not for one’s own personal aggrandizement? These are questions we pose to ourselves, taking deep account of who our audience is and what the context of the message/art work is purveying. We may find that when we become aware of who the witnesses are, we adjust ourselves, the vantage point becomes narrower.

Mercury squares Uranus this week before ingressing into Pisces. Cultural clashes come in waves throughout the week and with our minds adjusting to the fluid frequency of Pisces, the picture becomes more clear regarding how we are to think about our own religious piety. Religion is merely a system to organize one’s spiritual beliefs and that usually follows some kind of systemized form of communicating. Pisces doesn’t abide by structures, though, and while Mercury is rummaging around in the bottom of the ocean, searching for mystical truths, it inadvertently puts form to Piscean primordial ideas. While Mercury is swimming in the depths of the mind, we can be sure to find old relics of the past, unconscious guidance from within aids to construct a conscious process towards maintaining one’s faith.
Monday 10th
A dramatic amount of water pours through the Moon with her trine to Neptune and the North Node, both still in Pisces, just before the Moon moves into Leo.
The salve is strong enough to dull the pain uncovered by Pluto’s opposition to our pride, as there is a stronger pull that empowers voices to be heard. A high amount of confusion can cause more chaos than is needed, remaining organized can pose a problem especially for those easily distracted. It’s easy to become disoriented.
Moon trine NN, trine Neptune, Moon > Leo at 9:00am PST, opposite Pluto, trine Venus, Mercury square Uranus.
Tuesday 11th
The chaotic air continues with the Sun square Uranus confusing where the leadership is coming from, with mixed messages and hidden truths. Bold opinions are made with confidence and vigor, which is often all one needs to be convinced. Don’t get swept up in the drama and the fervor of Moon in Leo sextile Jupiter, but do separate out the words that are being said from the behaviors that are being shown. A familiar face can often bring comfort in a new environment.
Moon sextile Jupiter, Sun square Uranus.
Wednesday 12th
The Full Moon in Leo features a heavy need for change in how we relate to ourselves and outer relationships. A clear division in the sand can be made between old personalities and new ones that are just now developing through the collective shifts in how we relate to each other. Old friendships become relevant, new relationships become the old ones and ambivalent relationships are no longer. A clear expression of who we are and where we belong kicks in. The Moon enters Virgo shortly after the Full Moon to clean house and tidy up the mess of the Leo Moon generating discernment.
Moon square Uranus, Full Moon Leo at 5:53a, opposite Mercury, Moon > Virgo at 5:07pm PST.
Thursday 13th
Nervous energy has us ticking our way through the day, starting a million and one new projects, conversations, plans, etc. It feels like we need to limit the stimulus in order to be able to focus and where that trigger is coming from will be identified by following the line of anxiety back to its origin. Overwhelm kicks in and the sheer amount of talking points, data and information that is flying around makes it difficult to focus – which is why through the Moon square Jupiter, we are able to hone in on the aspects of conversing that do more harm than good.
Moon square Jupiter.
Friday 14th
Mercury enters Pisces today, pushing off that Aquarian perspective of equity into a more unified awareness that all is one. The Aquarian mindset says that each individual is a unique stone in the fishbowl of life, while Pisces takes the vision further to say that because each stone belongs to the larger category of ‘stone’ then all stones are one in the same stone or that we originate from the one ultimate stone. Anywho, as one can see, the way we communicate the facts filters through a larger spiritual perspective. Moon conjunct the South Node brings in old work, projects, health, rituals back into the foreground for a moment.
Moon sextile Mars rx, opposite Saturn, trine Uranus, opposite NN, Mercury > Pisces.
Saturday 15th
Relationships are on the mind as the Moon enters Libra today and opposes Venus. The notion of being in a relationship for those who are single can be daunting and the idea of being single for those in a relationship can be unattractive. The Moon in Libra puts the weight on the opposite end of the scale putting pressure towards being or not being in relation with another. Venus in Aries champions the notion of self-love first at all cost before compromising one’s needs.
Moon opposite Neptune, Moon > Libra at 3:44am, trine Pluto, opposite Venus.
Sunday 16th
The tea is flowing today. Moon in Libra opens up a direct line of communication with Jupiter in Gemini and has us gasping for more details and information. The ideas are flowing today and it feels like there isn’t much we can do. Out of this frustration comes a game plan, a general idea of what to do next. Mars has been retrograde stunting a passion within that normally is burning bright but today with the help of our friends and relationships, we get the motivation to take action.
Moon trine Jupiter, square Mars rx, opposite Chiron.
