Mercury Enters Pisces

Mercury Enters Pisces

Admittedly, Mercury’s entrance to Pisces on Valentine’s Day is pretty cute. Pisces: where Mercury is famously both in fall *and* in detriment. Yet what does a holiday that centers on sweet nothings care for these labels?
Yes, this is a Mercury that struggles with organization and putting words to concepts. But its concepts are often fabulous. Mercury in Pisces brims with inspiration. It is romantic. During this transit, ideas seem to float in from elsewhere. We relent to the muses, become the channel or whichever poetic convention most appeals. We make impressions, not statements.
And yes, we may struggle with logic, forget the word we’re looking for or have an easier time visualizing what we’re trying to say than articulating it. But the workings of the inner mind are by no means debilitated here. It’s only our ability to translate such grand visions into letters or numbers that escapes us, a process that seems contrived when Mercury is in Pisces anyway.
What is it to truly know a thing or to communicate that thing accurately when the universe is so vast and inconceivable? What even IS knowing? What does it MEAN to be accurate? These are the questions Mercury in Pisces natives grapple with daily. If we sense ourselves getting scrambled, we might turn to them for advice, because they live here full-time and know the ropes better than most of us. We can also follow their creative lead; in the coming days, we’ll likely have more success conveying our designs through music, art or asemic writing.
Mercury will spend just over two weeks traveling through Pisces, but it will return to this terrain between March 29 and April 16 during its upcoming retrograde spin.
