Venus Enters Gemini

Venus Enters Gemini
4th PDT 8:31 AM / 5th AEST 1:31 AM
Venus enters Gemini, bringing levity to relationship matters. This is a Venus governed by Mercury — a Venus that prefers neither to chase nor attract, but a secret third thing. Words may be the way to our hearts now, but we want to be entertained rather than wooed. While Venus is in Gemini, there are PLENTY of fish in the sea, so a lover who can’t keep pace with our curiosity or intellect is likely to be left in the dust.
It might not seem that way right off the bat. As Venus enters Gemini, it sextiles Saturn and Neptune and trines Pluto. These aspects are catalysts for fated-feeling attractions. It could be that we’re prepared to commit, trusting passion and idealism to do the heavy lifting. Yet these planets are hailing each other from fire and air signs, and relationships formed now aren’t destined for longevity, but intended to transform us. As fun as it might be to fantasize about our ideal match, the further Venus drifts from these powerhouses, the more we’ll realize that we’re less in love with our perfect person than with the IDEA of love; in the way that others reflect love back to us in distinctive ways.
Being in love with variety might not make for an epic romantic tale. Still, it’s not only a more achievable standard, but it’s probably a healthier one too. Venus in Gemini is about making connections between people, ideas and interests. Limiting ourselves when there is so much to be explored would be to do ourselves a disservice. Over the next four weeks, spontaneity is the key to making friends and charming crushes. However, misunderstandings begin to tick up mid-month. Sentimentality isn’t our strong suit now, so be mindful not to snub someone you care for in your quest for social stimulation. Keep the conversations going and you’ll avoid bad blood.
