North Node Enters Pisces
North Node Enters Pisces

After eighteen months in the signs of Aries and Libra, the lunar nodes ingress into the Pisces/Virgo axis, shifting our collective attention from courage to compassion.
The lunar nodes are not planets or asteroids but hypothetical points, denoting where the moon’s orbit crosses the earth’s ecliptic plane. The north node is always in opposition to the south node. Over the past year and a half, we were encouraged to utilize gifts inherent to the diplomatic Libra south node, those like compromise and discretion, to make bold moves in the interest of Arian individuation. Fence-sitting or a fear of discord may have discouraged us from rocking the boat, but boat-rocking was exactly what the cosmos ordered. If you want change to happen, you first have to get mad. You have to know that it’s okay to say 'no' to what does not serve you and recognize the injustice of lionizing peace at your personal expense.
Now we have a clearer idea of what our desires and goals are. But where do we go from here? The Pisces north node asks us to let these desires and goals take shape, free from the corresponding Virgo south node inclination to nitpick our desire complexes to the point that we strangle all joy and wonder out of the experience. This is a time when we will want to prove ourselves. We want to be taken seriously and acknowledged as the most skilled. Our homework is to let go and allow our destiny to take shape, guided by intention and awe, but ultimately facilitated by a universe whose plans for us are beyond our comprehension or power to control. A compulsion to struggle must give way to curiosity. As this nodal shift also ushers us into a new eclipse series, these themes will be conspicuous during the first lunar eclipse of the year, landing March 14 in the sign of Virgo.
