Mercury makes its about-face on Scorpio’s 20th degree, completing its three-week retrograde. Now unfettered by its proximity to Mars, the Sun and Venus, Mercury stands alone, providing us with an opportunity to recalibrate, take a breath and review recent events. The climate is less fraught. Cooler heads prevail here.

Perhaps your Mercury retrograde story involved lines drawn in the sand or words said that could not be unsaid. Perhaps it involved simmering resentments come to a boil or harsh criticisms levied. Rifts may have formed in relationships due to the 'cruel' enforcement of boundaries. Today is likely the moment where we see the logic of Mercury’s trickster nature at work, its capacity to hijack our intellect for its own means: to make the unconscious, conscious. 

Would you have enforced boundaries or said your piece without a push from the universe? And if you didn’t, would life have continued on, maybe a little more comfortable, but much less honest?

The way that ideas spilled out of our mouths might not have been especially diplomatic or *kind*, but revealing our innermost thoughts was necessary, and if nothing else, tension, anger and frustration are useful catalysts where coaxing out the truth is concerned.

Apologies for your message should NOT be. This Mercury retrograde has made it impossible to walk a decision, declaration or accusation back, and that’s appropriate. By Mercury’s next retrograde, Saturn and Neptune will have re-entered Aries. The time for sugarcoating our sentiments is over. The time of owning the power of our voices has begun.
