Venus Enters Sagittarius
Venus enters Sagittarius
30th PST 12:14 PM / 1st AEDT 7:14 AM
Venus enters Sagittarius, where it will transit for the next three weeks. The Sun and Mars are already in this sign, bestowing a lack of bedside manner and bluntness that can verge on belligerence. We are literal hotheads in this fiery terrain. Armed with our morals and steeled to fight for our principles, we risk reflexively shutting down alternative views, even as we seek to discover them. Venus’ ingress offers a counterpoint: that walking a mile in another’s shoes will make our argument more informed. And along the way, if our opinions happen to change, so much the better, for this is the mark of personal growth, expansion and wisdom.
Venus in Sagittarius strikes a tempered note. It offers mirth and enthusiasm. It retains Sagittarian spontaneity while allowing us to sidestep Sagittarian moral outrage and drama in favor of fun, laid-back exchanges. Now, we learn that love doesn’t have to be so *serious.* Attraction and affection should be true to the moment, and the tone of the moment is evolving all the time. In our desire for enthusiasm and inspiration, we become drawn to lovers that want to share in our side quests, those who can open our minds to new ways of looking at the world.
In the coming weeks, refuse to let your heart be caged! Refuse to be tied down by another’s definition of relationship. In fact, flying solo or playing the field may be preferable to commitment. However, commitment can be equally liberating if coupling up doesn’t require sacrificing individuality or mobility. What romantic freedom means differs from person to person. Venus in Sagittarius offers space for that variability of experience.
