Mercury Enters Leo

Mercury enters Leo
26th PDT 12:09 PM / 27th AEST 5:09 AM
Mercury enters Leo, activating our inner storyteller, class clown or theatre kid. This is a Mercury that values an eager audience. It wants us to command attention and suggests that we shouldn’t be above adding a few poetic flourishes if we catch that attention drifting towards a more compelling narrator.
While Mercury transits Leo, we sense that there is 'something' that must be said. This 'something' is important, and *we’re* the only ones who can be trusted to communicate the message. With Mercury in the sign ruled by the sun, this line of thinking can become egotistical quickly, but, presently, the sun is in the sign of Cancer, ruled by the moon. While this hierarchy adds a moody twist to Mercury’s meanderings, it also means that an inflated ego can be mitigated by focusing on our method of delivery, rather than on our supposed intellectual excellence. There’s a tangible throughline between thinking and feeling, and if expression FEELS good to you, it will SOUND good to others. So, if you’re an author, write that 'something' down. If you’re an artist, illustrate it. If you’ve got a platform, speak on it. But also... Be mindful that some of your ideas (including things that you claim to KNOW for a FACT) might be about to drastically change.
In three days, Mercury will enter its pre-retrograde shadow. Start noting issues that arise regarding your voice. If self-consciousness surfaces, get curious about what is exacerbating the discomfort. It could be that attachment to a personal story, one that you’ve used for character-building, is no longer serving you. What has become your truth may not only NOT be the whole truth — it may not be true anymore *at all*. On July 17, Mercury properly stations Rx, gifting us nine-and-a-half weeks of Mercury in Leo to dig into all the drama.
