May’s astrology continues the themes kicked off mid-April with the start of eclipse season and Mercury’s retrograde spin. We find ourselves in similar energetic circumstances; though we are inclined to permanence, the universe is goading us to evolve. Jupiter's sign-change lends some dynamism to the month. However, during a two-day period leading up to the new moon, the luck planet, along with Mercury, Uranus, and BOTH luminaries, will be jostling for real estate in a massive Taurean pileup, making the landscape extra bullish. We probably won’t begin to experience a true tonal shift until Mars makes its dramatic ingress into Leo on May 20, presaging a rebalancing of the elemental scales.

14 – Mercury direct: Values and material concerns reconsidered over the past three weeks can be directly addressed, course-corrected, and resolved.
16/17 – Jupiter enters Taurus: The Great Benefic's year-long transit through fixed earth forecasts good fortune in financial affairs, if we can mind a self-indulgent streak. Find the spiritual in the material!
17 – Jupiter in Taurus is square Pluto in Aquarius: Beware obsessions in your quest for success. A lust for wealth and influence can earn you powerful rivals.
20/21 – Mars enters Leo: Passionate moves win hearts, bestow fame, and advance us towards our goals. All the world is a stage, but *we’re* the star! Some drama is to be expected.
21 – Sun enters Gemini: Curiosity dictates our decisions. Our social lives take precedent. We put a higher premium on communication and information exchange.
