Mars Enters Aquarius
Mars Enters Aquarius
12th PST 22:05 / 13th AEDT 5:05
Mars enters the sign of the Water-bearer today and immediately aligns with Pluto. This is how change is activated – not with a whimper, but with a bang. Transformation (or is it Reformation?) is nigh, and over the next five weeks, we can either take the initiative or be dragged into another’s agenda.
Despite Aquarius’ revolutionary bent, Mars in Aquarius adopts a bit of a lower profile. Neither power-hungry like Mars in Scorpio nor flashy like Mars in Leo, the Mars in Aquarius fight is an intellectual one, pursued through unconventional methods and sleight of hand. If we get our opponents to focus on what’s going on OVER HERE, they’ll be too distracted to notice that we’re mobilizing our community around a common cause. In the coming days, our best chance of success lies in approaching problems from new angles. Certain breakthroughs will only be made because of our willingness to experiment.
While Mars and Pluto’s February 12/13 conjunction gives big “enough is enough” energy, February 21/22’s meetup between Mars and Venus highlights relational intimacy and bestows sex appeal. Both of these transits emphasize how we leverage passion and desire, but one is forcefully self-directed and the other is cooler and more social. This is a month where we are well aware that we don’t exist in a vacuum. We need people, but then, they also need us. Mars in Aquarius reveals that we can get what we want without anyone becoming emotionally overbearing, manipulative or greedy about it.
Meanwhile, Mars’ squares to Jupiter (February 26/27) and Uranus (March 9/10) caution us to be tactful. Fight for what you believe in but pick your battles wisely. Not all rules need to be broken.
