Mars conjoins the lunar North Node today, inspiring us to seize an exciting but potentially anxiety-inducing opportunity. The lunar North Node is symbolic of our karmic evolution. It points us, as a collective, in the direction of our greatest growth potential. Mars, our planet of action, adventure and enterprise, galvanizes momentum. Thus, our impetus during this alignment is to take the proverbial ram by the horns and have a visceral encounter with Destiny.
But the North Node is not the purview of *inevitable* fate. We have a choice to embrace alchemy. And whatever planet aligns with the North Node, ultimately opposes the South Node in tandem. The lunar South Node indicates our comfort zone, where we feel unconsciously predisposed to repeat patterns. So, as we boldly elect to go where we have never gone before, that can stir up a bit of pause. Where We Have Never Gone Before is an unknown. What if we can’t hack it there? Are we sure we wouldn’t rather go somewhere Familiar?
Staying in the safety of the known won’t hurt us now, if that’s our preference. However, a sense of unrest will slowly begin to percolate. We’ll realize that we are not using our energy wisely. Perhaps we are spending all of our time trying to fulfill someone else’s goals instead of our own. Maybe we’re playing it small to avoid disappointment. Consider this your wakeup call. Are you here to pass the time, or are you here to LIVE?
The Mars-North Node conjunction is the pinnacle of pioneering transits and to access it, we must only forgo comfort for curiosity. Should we dare to anticipate a future that offers us greater freedom, passion and purpose, the world around us will shift to support this desire for experience.
