Today, following a four-month retrograde, Jupiter stations directly on Taurus’ 5th degree. Some of you stargazers might remember that Jupiter and Saturn perfected an auspicious aspect last June called a sextile. Jupiter then advanced into Taurus and Saturn’s retrograde returned it to the 0 degrees of Pisces in a Parker Brothers board game-like twist. Now, with Jupiter back in Taurus’ early degrees, the great benefic and great malefic will once again travel within the orb of each other until mid-April, before Jupiter picks up speed to make its sprint into Gemini at the end of May.

So, what does this have to do with Jupiter Direct? Well, on its own, Jupiter Direct is considered a period of increased opportunity and good fortune. However, its pitfalls lie in the realm of overextension, blind faith, unchecked growth, or miscalculating energy and resources (Taurean buzzwords).

Luckily, because the Jupiter-Saturn sextile will color our Jupiter direct story for the first part of the new year, we’ll now be treated to a cosmic interplay of optimism and self-restraint. A combination of pragmatism and idealism will help us to make measured progress toward our goals. Burnout, debt, and all of the other hazards that come along with Jupiterian zealousness can be avoided by deferring to Saturn for moderation. This is a moment to dream big but to scale. This is a moment to make a good idea, GREAT.

So, a good idea: work with a mentor to hone your business skills. But a great idea: finding your calling and stepping into your dream career. A good idea: joining communities to make new friends. A great idea: pooling community efforts to achieve a spiritual or creative vision. This is a time to make an impact, both because you can, and because it's in everyone’s best interest that you do so. Amidst massive astrological shifts in the early part of 2024, Jupiter’s direct motion will have a hand in granting us stability and success.
