February Transits & Monthly Overview

With Pluto now in Aquarius and Uranus having stationed direct in January, we’ve made our way through the first big cosmic shifts of 2024. February’s transits may quicken the place, but it is more likely that they will stimulate changes in your attitude. Here is an opportunity to bend the rules, play with options, realize the futility of old systems (in life and love, locally and globally), and endeavor to replace them with healthier, dynamic alternatives. The social planets Venus and Mars are February’s major players. Both will align with Pluto (Mars 14, Venus 17), align with each other (22), and square Jupiter (Venus 24/25, Mars 27) before the month is out, serving to make situations that might otherwise seem impersonal, VERY personal. There is no such thing as living “outside” of the ecosystem. So, if we’re all in this together, what’s your next move?

NOTABLE TRANSITS

February 5 – Mercury enters Aquarius: adopt a fresh take on an old subject as Mercury zips through Aquarius in just shy of three weeks. Conversations trend idealistic.

February 13 – Mars enters Aquarius: dare to do things differently! Energy is best used cooperatively, so surround yourself with a good team.

February 16/17 – Venus enters Aquarius: friends could become lovers, but expect some emotional distance to be maintained, even if loyalty is freely given.

February 18/19 – Sun enters Pisces: the value of this transit lies in recognizing your Self in all those who you’ve othered. A boon for creative types, but be sure to enforce energetic boundaries to avoid slipping into states of apathy or overwhelm.

February 23 – Mercury enters Pisces: intuitive means of gathering information are just as good (maybe even better) than logical ones. Pay attention to your dreams! This transit is a big plus for synesthetes and artists.
