As we shift into Pisces season our sensitivities increase. Notice where things may have not had much of an emotional reaction during Aquarius season, and now do, adjust accordingly.

There is a layer of detachment to the Air sign that allows life and ideas to move through quickly without settling too deep. As air morphs and gathers humidity, particles form pools, and through the water sign of Pisces we will notice an internal shift, just like changing weather.

The Virgo full moon arrives with a formula not long after the Sun moves into Pisces and just before we get too carried into the in-between realms, highlighting practicality.

How can we give ourselves the containers we need so we can overflow them in a way that doesn't have our lives seeping into chaotic oblivion?

What is being highlighted right now that needs to be wrangled and ordered so we can enjoy the creative, dreamy, boundary-less realms of this next season that lies before us?

Organisation creates freedom, it does not restrict it. For if there is somewhat of a plan, you can let go of the rest and relax into the unfolding of it. You can always explore the unknown pathways that branch from the original idea, and follow those instead.

A path through a forest is not the only way to explore its wonders, but it is extremely helpful if we get lost because we can always come back to it.

This full moon is a good time for noticing where things are a little floppy, setting some boundaries, and letting go of ways that didn't work in the past.

Listen deeply to your response to your surroundings, not through the mind that was very active during Aquarius season, but to the body; the somatic responses, the intuition, and the heart.

Embracing the truth that progress often comes from these small steps can help us avoid widening that gap. Change takes time and patience and it's the consistent, gradual efforts that lead to lasting transformation. We often don’t set achievable expectations for ourselves and others. We think we can sprint before we crawl. And when we inevitably fail, we throw ourselves into a negative self-talk spiral which makes the distance between who we are and the person we want to become even wider.

I love the way Virgo gently teaches us small goals only as the best approach to heal this pattern. When it comes to small goals only, we need to rely on another Virgo precondition which is Virgo’s attention, focus, and mindfulness. Modernity makes mindfulness a challenge. What’s one small thing you can do to help? Can you create a dedicated space that minimizes distraction? Limit multitasking? Establish routines? If you, like me, can’t help but eye roll when you are recommended those simple but not always easy approaches, I want you to challenge that part within you. Remember Virgo as the sign of distinction, right? Draw a line in the sand between the inner child with you and the wise adult you can become. The part of us that eyerolls is the inner child. We can learn so much from that self but we can also stand to not listen to its demands and remember that we’re all adults, not children now, that are all responsible for the work in becoming the most impeccable version of ourselves. 

Because this Full Moon is opposite Mercury and Saturn in Pisces, I think we’re learning how to use Virgo ruled mind/body and Pisces ruled heart/soul approaches to help us in “the work”. From small goals only to a spiritual practice, we are learning how to integrate, not alternate the wisdom of Virgo and Pisces inspiring us to have a full contact commitment to all that can help us become the people we’re capable of being.
