Week Ahead Transits 7th -13th August

The big news this week that is on everyone’s lips is Venus. By the end of the week, Venus will fall into contact with the Sun and become crowned the morning star once again, bringing forth wisdom, insights and illumination from the shadows. The Sun will be travelling through the second decan of Leo while it meets with Venus. The second decan of Leo is connected to the 6 of wands, this card depicts a hero coming back from battle to a warm reception from a crowd. We can seek recognition and feel confident with the work we have done up until this point. A waning quarter Moon puts the square between the victorious Sun and Moon in Taurus. Issues around lack of confidence come to the surface to show how it can be a detriment to success when we fail to acknowledge how badass we really are.

Venus making moves to shake us out of our complacency in relationships and romance. Venus is now becoming engulfed by the Sun and her light will no longer be visible while she is under the rays of the Sun’s brightness. We knew she wasn’t going to go quietly, while she has been in Leo, there have been no shortages of grand and opulent expressions of love, desire, and affection. What has Venus retrograde been activating for you the past couple of weeks? Have you noticed a marked shift in the way you have been navigating love, money and resources? The Moon makes waves with the waning quarter square, upending all of the manifestations of the Full Moon last week. We see clearly the importance of friendship, companionship and how it plays a vital role in our physical well-being. Through the week the Moon travels through Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer activating the second quadrant of self and personal embodiment. There is a strong integration of mind and body that can be felt throughout the week.

Feeling restless today with a mental outlet to get the mind chatter out of the vortex. A bit of chaotic energy with the Moon in Gemini square Mercury in Virgo, the two mutable signs ruled by Mercury. There may be a rushed energy to get things taken care of or an overwhelm of data, information or energy. Doing something that helps to ease the mind or give it something productive to work on will help to consciously direct the flow of the day.

Friday 11th

Some unequivocal projections come to the surface from the past which elicits a conversation clearing the air. Moon ingresses into Cancer, moving the emotional tides closer to the shore of our awareness. We do well to accept the tides and whatever they wash up onto the surface.

Venus conjuncts the Sun today, initiating her into her position as the illuminator of wisdom. Her beautiful light is hidden by the Sun for the time being, but when she comes back into view, she will bring with her a deeper awareness of how we can show up and exude radical self-acceptance.
