Can you believe it’s already the second to last month of the year? Scorpio season always brings on that sense of endings, purging, and moving on from the past that the end of the year seems to coincide with. For those who live in areas where daylight savings is recognized, we are starting the week falling back one hour. In the northern hemisphere, the days are getting shorter while the days are getting longer in the south. This week we journey through the midway point of Scorpio pinning us with the archetype of the 6 of cups. The tarot card the 6 of cups depicts two children sharing a cup filled with flowers. The blessing of a good memory sometimes is all we need to hold us through difficult times. Sometimes we can hold on to the idea of how something was, or the memory of how a relationship used to be and that alone can be the hope that we need to keep pushing through. The Sun moving through the second decan of Scorpio will illuminate our resilience and show us how we can harness inner strength.Venus ingresses into Libra this week which is a welcome placement for the planet of love, relationships, aesthetics, and justice. Venus bodes well in her domicile Libra for they understand the need and care that is required to maintain a healthy and balanced relationship. When Venus is in Virgo it is impossible to ignore the imperfections of our lovers, but in Libra we can overlook the smaller details to come to mutual understanding.
Mercury shifts into Sagittarius this week as well which makes the airwaves hot with a lot of opinions. Mercury can run away with an idea like a wildfire through a dry prairie in seconds, just like gossip or a rumor. We must be on alert for sensationalism in the media, on social media, and everywhere around us. The planet of communication and information in the sign of the preacher, or guru will have a podium.
Mars and Uranus make a combustible connection this week as well, when these two make contact there is oftentimes a fire that becomes ignited in the ethers, both within us and on the earth. A spark that directs the collective fire flickers brightly.
Monday 6th
The spark with which we need to fuel us to move forward is available to us for the day. The Moon hits a flow with the NN, which boosts our confidence in what we can accomplish. Just after this aspect, the Moon moves into productive work mode Virgo then opposes Saturn, the taskmaster, giving us the vision of what can be accomplished when we dedicate ourselves to the grind. Amplifying our imaginations, the concepts align into a higher awareness. If we can see it and feel it, we can dream it into existence.Moon trine NN, Moon > Virgo at 11:39 am, opposite Saturn. Venus trine Pluto. Mercury trine Neptune rx.
Tuesday 7th
There is a lot to scrutinize, analyze, and process today. Having a general curiosity about what comes out of the purge of the Scorpio Sun, we gleefully nit-pick whatever new interest comes into our periphery. A Wikipedia rabbit hole day seems to fit right in alignment. It’s like the day after Christmas, the gift has been unwrapped and now you just want to consume all of the information that you can from the package to take it all in.Moon trine Jupiter rx, sextile Sun.
Wednesday 8th
There is a power that emerges from the collective voice that is impossible to ignore today. Collaborative energy paired with organized data sharing makes change tangible. There is a ripple effect that happens, and with Venus moving into her domicile Libra, a balanced approach to the collective’s problems becomes obvious. The power of persuasion paired with the ability of a community to centralize their talking points makes for a poignant opportunity for change. The comradery we feel with each other helps to see what we can accomplish when unified.Moon sextile Mars, trine Uranus rx, opposite Neptune rx, trine Pluto, sextile Mercury. Venus > Libra at 1:30 am. Mercury sextile Pluto.
Thursday 9th
The political voices are coming out louder with mercury ingressing into Sagittarius today along with the Moon and Venus merging their energies in Libra. There is a need for justice within our personal lives and the world around us and we are keen to identify where we can speak up on our morals. Because of this, there will also be many others who feel the same and desire to be heard, without as much listening but with Venus in the sign of justice, fairness, and balance we are surely to find a proper way to bridge our differences.Moon > Libra at 12:07 am, conjunct Venus. Mercury > Sagittarius at 10:24 pm.
Friday 10th
It’s not an easy day to share your opinions, plans, and ideas. If people are misinterpreting, or misunderstanding you – fear not, it is merely the planetary energies running amuck. Don’t let the judgments of others breed self-doubt or insecurity and vice versa, acknowledge where you are being over-judgmental and critical of what other people are saying. This will, however, be a good day to scrutinize your own words and learn to effectively communicate more complicated topics.Mercury square Saturn. Moon opposite Chiron rx.
Saturday 11th
Some lingering emotional baggage comes back to be figured out within your relationships. There may be unexpected eruptions, disagreements, and frustrations that come to the surface. Mars and Uranus oppose one another today which can cause some huge tempers to flare out of the sense that we are not being treated fairly, or understood properly. Try not to give in to the collective drama that ensues, but if you do or feel it is a personal priority, consider that most others may not be in a receptive place. On another level, we may have a sweet moment of remembrance, as the wave of nostalgia comes through the Moon in Libra, reminding us of a gentle memory.Moon opposite NN, square Pluto, Moon > Scorpio at 10:39 am, trine Saturn. Mars opposite Uranus rx.
Sunday 12th
The deeper meaning comes to light. We also can feel pulled through over-consumption and over compensating with our need to fulfill a desire. Feeling insatiable in some way, whether it’s through self-imposed limitations or from an outside source, is helping us to see where we easily give in to guilty pleasures.Moon opposite Jupiter rx.
