Happy Solstice! This week we say good-bye to Gemini as we welcome the new astrological/earth season, Cancer! The dynamic shift between seasons brings in fresh energy which recharges and inspires. Cancer season awakens our need for intimacy through deep connection with those we care for, the inner circle is highlighted. The first decan of Cancer is associated with the 2 of cups which speaks to collaboration, shared interests with others and seeking emotional exchanges. Moving out of Gemini energy which is curious, moving, changeable and into the cardinal water element of Cancer, opens the sails to catch the winds of vulnerability. Cancer season will have us adjusting our radar to hone in on like-minded souls we feel we can truly let our guards down with. When the Sun shifts its rays from one constellation to the next, there is always a bit of an adjustment period where we attune our energetic bodies to the new melody of the season.
The Moon travels through Cancer, Leo, Virgo and ends the week in Libra, bringing with her the awareness of the heart and its yearnings. These four signs, which make up the second quadrant of the astrological house system, represent how we reach out to others and share our inner expression with the world. As the Moon moves through these 4 signs this week, we will be drawn to focus on how we relate to and seek emotional validation with those around us and our external world: family, art, work, and relationships.
There are no major astrological transits this week but we are now experiencing Saturn and Pluto full on in their retrograde cycles. We can begin to notice where we need to slow down our expectations for results, and allow for the re-evaluation process to take hold on those long term projects. This is also a great time to go back to old projects that have been left on the back burner, dust off the old ideas that are marked for a later time as the time is now to bring back the once forgotten plans.
Monday 19th
An excellent day to learn how to move forward from past mistakes and integrate historical lessons. This could come in the form of learning or reading about your history, lineage, a favorite artist’s childhood or significant figure whom you feel a connection to. Old wounds around childhood nurturing may come up to surface, notice any triggers which bubble up, these are significant clues in how to work through and heal the past.

Tuesday 20th
Staying grounded today will be a task, as the Moon makes a connection to Neptune and Pluto. While psychic intuition is high, it can also be faulty if mental clarity is blocked by anxiety or worry, this is a good day to parse through emotions to seek their origins. Are they coming from an instinctual place which is the body’s way to alert the mind or does the alarm system need a change of battery? Intense emotions come out to be washed out and healed.

It’s officially Cancer season! Happy Solstice! The Sun is at its height in the sky in the northern hemisphere and is at its lowest in the southern. This shift in energy ushers in a new dynamic range of emotional conversations that are going to be productive and illuminating. We seek to connect with others who have walked the similar path and find solace in knowing that we are not alone on our journeys towards wholeness. The energy is high and there are a lot of avenues to go down and explore today. Ride the wave and see where it takes you.

Thursday 22nd
This is a high impact day with a lot of dynamic energy which seeks to gets us up and moving. We may be feeling highly energized with a lot of motivation to actively seek companionship through friends, romantic interests or quite frankly anyone who will listen. The need to be seen is high and this is a wonderful time to get out of our comfort zones and strike up conversations with people who spark our interest. We have an opportunity to heal our relationship to the masculine energies today and taking a moment to think about what the masculine means for us on an individual level will help to open a new perspective of the world around us.

Friday 23rd
Nothing can really shake the good feeling of progress, no matter how difficult a setback may present itself. Moon makes an opposition with Saturn today which helps us to identify where we need to improve upon ourselves along with the work that we do but with Jupiter’s positive influence we are feeling amped to overcome all obstacles. We seek clarity in the details and are maintaining a healthy amount of realism with a high dose of optimism.

Saturday 24th
A lot of opinions about culture and society come up today. Working with the general populace/collective flows easily and the comradery is palpable. We focus on team work towards a mutual outcome. Taking time to recognize what the collective needs are and where we can fill the gaps helps to improve our own views of ourselves and gives us a sense of purpose within society.

Sunday 25th
This is a difficult communication day where we may need to take a moment and step back from a conversation before making any ruptures in our relationships. With the Moon opposite Neptune and Mercury square Neptune there is a high probability of getting the details wrong or not fully seeing the picture clearly. Though we know there is something that doesn’t feel right, it may be hard to fully put your finger on it just yet. Journal through it, write it out and set it aside for another day.
