Mars is the main character for this week’s shenanigans, ingressing into Libra then making contact with Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto immediately after. We also have a Full Moon in Aquarius on the 9th at 12:55am PDT. This Full Moon culminates at 16°59’, while Mars forms a kite formation with all of the outer planets, including Saturn. The Full Moon in Aquarius interacts with Mars’s energy in an interesting way — it isn’t necessarily connected in a mode that feels like actions are being recognized in the grand scheme of things.
The Sun and Moon both sit in positions where there is a slight annoyance stirring below the surface, an undue recognition, what is being released may not have immediate impacts, but over time will show ripple effects in the way we engage with the world later on. Full Moon in Aquarius is dubbed the 'friendship moon' by Raven Kaldera in his book Moon Phase Astrology, and rightfully so, as in his description he shares that the Leo/Aquarius axis is the pathway to acceptance and inclusion through how we project our own desires onto platonic relationships.
Aquarius sets the stage for Leo, it is the fan base that Leo needs for recognition. If a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, did it really fall? Anyone can work on themselves alone in the comforts of their own subconscious all day long but the real test to how far you have grown comes when there is a mirror placed in front of you by way of another. Aquarius represents this 'other'. For Leo’s creative output, it is the collective, the community that we go to when we want to share our gifts, aka our friends and the public. The Full Moon in Aquarius offers a time to celebrate your peers, community and friends by offering a part of yourself to them even if it is a small token, it will generate a ripple that eventually turns into a wave.
Mars ingress into Libra at 4:23pm PDT on the 6th August, then proceeds to meet with all of the outer planets, creating a kite formation as previously mentioned. Bear with me as I describe it; the body of the kite is shaped by a grand trine between Mars, Pluto and Uranus. The top, or the head, of the kite made from an opposition between Mars - Saturn/Neptune. Both Saturn and Neptune are also sextile Pluto and Uranus. I know, that’s a lot to comprehend, but just imagine the traditional outline of an actual kite and that’s the shape these planetary bodies are making in the sky. The kite is a special pattern that opens up a powerfully productive time where we activate latent talents. Not only are these talents readily available, but they also have an outlet, somewhere or someone that also recognizes these gifts so they can be seen. Our gifts have concrete and tangible channels, our actions seem to flow and synchronicities confirm our efforts. It is genuinely a beautiful time with maximum cosmic potential to release any and all forms of creativity.
Mars in Libra is activating quite the initiation of new friendships and community. Typically Mars gets a bad rap in Libra, because its singular, focused energy gets dispersed into multiple different mental tangents through the cardinal air sign when all it really wants to do is go straight forward towards one point of interest. But this grand trine and kite formation signals a new relationship with sitting in duality and nuance that the collective has quite frankly been in dire need of. This Mars Libra go around will offer the chance to weigh out the pros and cons of a situation before taking action, sit with uncertainty and level with what the most fair route is. While Mars opposes Saturn/Neptune, we may find road blocks which make us question moral conviction, offering a moment to consider how our actions will spawn a cause and effect within the environment and society at large. The Mars in Libra ambivalence comes through as a teacher; it shows us that no matter how insignificant a decision may appear to be, each action taken has the potential to cause a reaction that grows into a global movement.
Monday 4th
The deep inner desire for more surfaces through the Moon in Sagittarius as she squares the nodes of past and future. Caught in the middle, considering what’s next, we can feel like there is something more right around the corner, but unsure of what it is. The Full Moon is slowly culminating and the Moon at the cross roads is building the fire, courage and bravery needed to induce new directions. Personal opinions on political matters are coming in to the fore and may direct the focus/passion seeking expansion and the truth.

Tuesday 5th
Today is tense with the Moon squaring Saturn, Neptune and Mars. An understanding of what steps need to be taken in order to progress in one’s professional life comes with some discouragement, but by pushing through the illusion of boundaries, one can grow exponentially. It is not yet known how the small steps taken today will impact the larger growth, but know that new patterns are forming and disillusionment of the importance of the old ways reveals essential breakthroughs.

Wednesday 6th
Mars ingresses into Libra today, which may put a halt to what we are working on for the purpose of considering how it impacts the team or others involved. Rather than moving forward with our own motivations, we take time to balance out the needs of others first, which can initially cause a bit of confusion or limbo for the duration of the day as the Moon is also void of course. Sit with the unknown and let the ambivalence be a place of healing.

Thursday 7th
After the Moon ingresses into Aquarius, all becomes clear and revelations come to surface regarding how to feel about a certain topic. The Moon activates the Mars/Uranus/Pluto grand trine after entering Aquarius, bringing into awareness the importance of clear communication, integrity and virtue through our behaviors and actions. The need to connect with like-minded souls regardless of history or background opens new options for community.

Friday 8th
The more unusual and strange the better. We are purposely going against the grain of our own habitual patterning, doing and saying things we normally wouldn’t do. Mars is seeking others who express the same unique markers as we do, and fighting against the established order. We may do or say things that we regret later, but how liberating is it to let it rip without preconceived repercussions? In the end, we know what is fair and true (from the Moon in Sagittarius phase), and there isn’t much that can change one’s opinion (Mercury in Leo).

Saturday 9th
The Full Moon in Aquarius is here! General themes of release apply especially, so with Mars in opposition with Neptune, forcing action through the fog. Moral convictions and deep personal beliefs take precedence while trying to balance between what makes everyone happy and one’s own inner faith. It’s possible that we can go against our own desires for that of the collective, desiring harmony and peace. Friendships are the main focus as the Full Moon discloses where true allegiances lie. It may be hard to sit on the side lines.

Sunday 10th
A deep well of power erupts within, a desire for change and a new direction in how we connect with community and the collective. The Moon squares Uranus while also making harmonious aspects to Venus and Jupiter, teaching us how to remain objective and how to use any tension as artistic expression. Inspiration can hit quickly and spontaneously, pick up the pen, paint brush or voice note and get ready to let the emotions flow.
