Mars stations direct! Oh lordy the planet of action, passion, sex drive and desire is on the move, and with that comes a renewed appreciation for divine anger. The protective rage of a mother bear with her cub protrudes far and wide with Mars stationing direct in the crab. The pinchers are sharp and Mars cuts like a knife, slashing through and making known our primal fears for survival. We can no longer be complacent about the true emotions that we have uncovered within ourselves regarding the safety and security of our homes, the land we live on and the history of our origins. Mars stations direct on the 23rd at 5:59pm PST and begins moving towards favorable aspects with the planet cluster that is sitting in the later degrees of Pisces, starting with Mercury. Mars and Mercury trine one another, giving us a sharp mind, with clear communication and honesty. This aspect is like a figure skater gliding effortlessly on the ice, using keen precision and artistry to execute an elegant display that inspires.
On the 20th the Moon in Sagittarius squares the Sun in Pisces, initiating the last quarter phase. Mercury squares Jupiter on this day as well and we could be mindful with how much emphasis we put on hope or faith vs empirical evidence. The hopeful Sagittarius and the faith-based fish draws our attention to how humans interact with the great unknown. Religion is a method which we use to organize the world we live in so that there is an illusion of order. For those who are religious, this sense of having an inner compass through one’s belief system may stray from true north for a moment. Floating through the mutable cross, the primordial stew of creation stirs up notions of mortality and one’s place in the larger scheme of life. In other words, an existential questionnaire for the conscious mind directs the focus onto the larger questions of 'What is the purpose of it all?', and 'What is the point of my existence as the world is right now?', but more importantly 'Why am I here?'.
Monday 17th
The Moon and Sun trine at the last degrees of their signs, sending us into this week with a promise that the exact right people are around us at all times and that the support of the greater collective is there. The Moon ingresses into Scorpio, then squares Pluto, resurfacing psychological patterns for review. We tinker and perfect the ways we respond emotionally to other people’s intensity as a form of evolution. Today brings a good lesson in self-control.
Moon trine Sun, Moon > Scorpio at 4:18pm, square Pluto.
Tuesday 18th
It’s Pisces season! The dazzling fish flickers its scales in the light of the Sun, shimmering while it dances below the surface of the water. The mystique of the fish takes our imagination to a new level of understanding. A water trine between Mercury and the Moon opens our ears to frequencies that have always been present; it’s as if the radio dial has been turned to just the right channel, expanding the tonal range for just a few moments. Feeling content and creative, let the visions pour forth.
Moon trine Mercury, Sun > Pisces at 2:06am.
Wednesday 19th
The fires of Mars are accessible and readily available to kick up the heat, colluding with the Moon in Scorpio to act on instinct. The Moon sees Mars and can offer compassion and direction as to where to send the flames. Feel the passion and use the energy as the Moon in Scorpio would, direct, calculated and purposeful. Moon opposite Uranus sees us toggling between self-preservation and group activities.
Moon trine Mars rx, trine Saturn, opposite Uranus.
Thursday 20th
Mercury square Jupiter takes precedence, while the last quarter Moon disrupts plans that may have been in place for quite some time. Flexibility is key today along with maintaining a good attitude, which won’t be hard with Sagittarius influencing our internal optimism scale. Exploration and adventure are on the docket and any subtle feelings of stickiness will require a moment of pure freedom to just be.
Moon trine NN, trine Neptune, Moon > Sagittarius at 4:54am, Quarter Moon at 9:32am, sextile Pluto, trine Venus, Mercury square Jupiter.
Friday 21st
There may be some complications that come up with communication and not seeing eye to eye on a personal viewpoint, but it is a good time to hash out discrepancies in the story. We put the work in and see the results of our efforts, looking back on the amount that we have learned vs what we are still striving to know puts us in a timeline for where to go next.
Moon opposite Jupiter, square Mercury, square Saturn, trine Chiron.
Saturday 22nd
The future is slowly coming into clear view but first it seems that we are stuck in between timelines. North Node in pisces is making it difficult for us all to see even five inches in front of our faces, the range of how far we are able to imagine into the distant unknown is limited. A choice comes up to be made and the instinct can be to avoid, delay or run from the responsibility until the Moon enters Capricorn where then the responsibility is impossible to ignore.
Moon square NN, square Neptune, Moon > Capricorn at 3:08pm.
Sunday 23rd
Mars stations direct! This is a much welcomed transition for Mars as its retrograde motion had been pushing the irritation and frustrations inward for the last couple of months. Mars will now begin to move forward in Cancer, with a clear and distinct pathway for how to conduct oneself. The confidence to express frustrations and anger comes through strongly and the repressed emotions that had been stored up are ready to be released.
Moon sextile Sun, square Venus, opposite Mars, Mercury trine Mars rx, Mars stations direct.
