Venus enters Scorpio
Venus enters Scorpio
4th PST 10:51 / 5th AEDT 5:51
Venus has spent the last week of its stay in Libra cozied up to the lunar south node, heightening the likelihood of karmic entanglements. The south node represents the emotional residue of our past, not just in this life, but in our former incarnations. Its activation by Venus may have introduced (or reintroduced) people into our midst with whom we are tasked with doing a dance of rectification. Here lies an opportunity to address unfinished business, sidestep fatal attractions, reaffirm romantic priorities, and hopefully walk away knowing that *this* time, you’ve course-corrected relational karma. And you probably did it in a Libran way – politely, with a smile. Yet as Venus enters subterranean Scorpio, the consequences of your decisions can hit hard. You may have outgrown whatever this connection represented, but it won’t make parting ways easier.
As Venus traverses Scorpio, aloofness is a prelude to passion. Power struggles give way to pledges of loyalty. Mystery is craved as ardently as vulnerability. Here, love, sex, and psychology are agents of transformation. We expect to evolve through experiences with these catalysts. Therefore, peaceful, comfortable bonds, no matter how soothingly “familiar” they might seem, become reinterpreted as boring and unprovocative – lacking in true intimacy. This may be the rebranding we require to step away from the known and embrace the unknown.
Now, feelings intensify. Romantic expectations shift. Allowing ourselves to experience the true depths of our desires can engender deep heart-healing. But in true double-edged sword fashion, it can also be a time of pain – especially the kind of pain that results from letting something go that you really, REALLY wanted. Paying attention to our changing appetites will be particularly essential following Venus’ opposition to Jupiter (9/10) and Uranus (20/21).
