Venus Enters Libra

Venus Enters Libra
13th PDT 2:19 PM / 14th AEDT 8:19 AM
Venus enters Libra, its domicile, and repeats a configuration we’ve talked about frequently over the past few months. In early August, Mars entered Libra and formed a Grand Trine with Pluto and Uranus, as well as an opposition with Saturn and Neptune, creating a Kite pattern. On the 22nd September, the Sun made the same series of alignments. Today, Venus follows suit. Because the outer planets (Saturn excepted) have been virtually stationary since July, all the personal planets have activated this potent Libra point, which inadvertently serves as the rug that ties the room together.
Venus enjoys being in Libra. This is where the romance planet gets to fully flex its relational skills. And in an increasingly 'me'-centric moment in history, the next three weeks offer a prime opportunity to focus on the 'we' of it all. However, Venus’s entrance to Libra immediately places it at odds with Neptune on the 0 degree of Aries, and storybook loves that once captivated us might now be on the chopping block.
Harmony, *perfect* harmony, is aspirational, and, in a twist, Venus’ trines to Pluto and Uranus evince our capacity for loves that Libra Venus would ordinarily forgo in favor of limerence: platonic love, passionate, transformative love, kinky, unconventional love with vague contractual terms. We now have bandwidth for the kinds of connections that we once ignored to indulge in the seductive allure of a fantasy. As the lines between the real and unreal continue to blur, Venus in Libra confirms that the unreal is neither intellectually stimulating enough nor aesthetically attractive enough to hold our attention anymore. Disenchantment is the new enchantment, because what is disenchanted has substance: it can be touched, and it can touch *us*.
