The sun returns to its domicile today! Pause and take stock of where you are. What can you celebrate? Becoming enmeshed in daily tedium, the monotony of work and life obligations, is one of those unfortunate realities that marks the passage from childhood to adult. The more repetitive our routines, the more our capacity to recognize the magic in the mundane atrophies. But the Leo sun emphasizes experience, presence. Children work with what is in front of them. What happened yesterday doesn’t matter. We can worry about the future tomorrow. The world is immense and mysterious but our relationship to it is immediate. That immediacy – the idea of a day seized - lays the foundation for a passionate life.
The sun’s passage through Leo only demands two things of us: that we are ourselves, and that we find joy in the process of cultivating selfhood. So how will you choose to live for today?
