Following its final conjunction to Uranus in the sign of Taurus for the next 80+ years, the sun slips into Gemini, immediately sextiling Neptune in Pisces (healing) and Pluto in Aquarius (freedom). When we invoke Gemini, buzzwords like knowledge and novelty spring to mind. The sun’s entrance to this sign heralds a month of increased socializing and learning. We’re gathering information. The sun’s aspects to the outer planets point to what *kind* of information we’re gathering.
It's been a whirlwind year thus far and you’ve likely just started to get your bearings following the May 12/13 Scorpio Full Moon (a moon that doesn’t typically have a reputation for bearings-giving). This was a full moon that required acknowledging a fear of change. Our psychic senses have been screaming at us to make changes for some time, but rather than heed that call, many of us have hidden — the resulting shame reflective of a resistance to self-mastery.
Under the full moon, fear and shame were released as an offering. In unprecedented times, adaptation is not only the most viable way to survive but to thrive. It’s the secret to the whole system. Let go or be dragged.
Now, with the sun in Gemini, we internalize this reality, not only intellectually, but in our bones. Thinking differently precedes moving differently, and moving differently inspires us to engage with the world instead of shrinking from it. To flow with change. To bend instead of break. To accept social or creative opportunities that were never impossible to find nor beyond our proficiency but self-skeptical and numb to the versatility of our magic we never dared to explore. This season has the energy of dodging a punch and suddenly realizing that we are more agile than we gave ourselves credit for.
