Sun Enters Aries
Sun Enters Aries
19th PST 20:07 / 20th AEDT 14:07
The sun enters Aries today, marking our leap into the new astrological year, and boy, we would be remiss to speak about this ingress without first taking a cosmic inventory.
Well, there is a Libra lunar eclipse on March 25/26, aggravating tensions and provoking unpredictable events. Mercury is presently in its pre-retrograde shadow, proffering a preview of communication conflicts set to take center stage beginning April 1/2. An Aries solar eclipse looms in two weeks which features a conjunction with Chiron, exacerbating themes of injury and healing in the realms of confidence and self-assertion. And that’s just the HIGH LEVEL view.
To get even more granular, the Aries sun answers to Mars, which will move into Pisces in three days, perhaps the most difficult terrain for the warrior planet to navigate. So, while we may have stepped into this season armed with energy, that momentum is set to wane. It’s an odd, ODD equinox. But is all lost? Of course not.
Aries season asks us to get right with our Selves. Maybe the goals we’ve pursued, the relationships we’ve championed, the identity we’ve cultivated, is worth the effort. But what we need right now is a reminder of WHY we’re doing what we’re doing. What are we truly fighting FOR?
To this end, where we’re going must be contrasted against where we’ve come from. Current ventures must be juxtaposed against past desires. Expect this to be a bizarrely nostalgia-laden month, featuring guest appearances by old flames and friends. Though we anticipate passion and fire under the Aries sun, we might have to settle for heat more akin to a sauna or steam room for the time being. We’ll still achieve the glow we’re hoping for. But if you want a REAL fresh start, be willing to sit and sweat it out a bit longer.
