Sun Conjunct Jupiter in Cancer

Sun conjunct Jupiter in Cancer

Following the solstice, the sun and Jupiter align, casting magnanimous vibes. The sun and Jupiter meet in this way yearly, but they have not conjoined in the sign of Cancer since July 19/20, 2002. (They narrowly missed a meetup in Cancer in 2013, aligning on the 28th degree of Gemini instead. By the time the sun cycled back around in 2014, Jupiter had entered Leo.)
Jupiter expands what it touches, and it is exalted in Cancer. Its meetup with the life-giving sun makes this transit all about vitality. Sun/Jupiter asks us to consider what we are feeding our energy into that can take root and grow without our constant attention or supervision. Investments may yield fruit now — payment for past planting. But we are geared to be forward-thinking as well, and sustainability is the name of the game.
This is an excellent day to tune into what your community or chosen family needs, because, best case scenario, you can provide it, and worst case scenario, you will instinctively know how to apply pressure, mostly through empathic appeals, to incentivize others to provide what you cannot. This is a moment of luck! Of optimism! Sun/Jupiter augurs personal growth, but in Cancer, your personal growth is activated by being in service to humanity. Each decision we make from this headspace, where possibilities are endless, fortune is limitless and the ecosystem is our priority, correspondingly yields fruit.
On a mundane level, this day can produce seemingly serendipitous events or acts of charity. On a spiritual level, this day can produce experiences of 'awe' that allow you to not only perceive the magic at work around you, but to access and employ divine timing without upsetting the natural order of things.
The beauty of this influence lies in awakening us to our generative nature. When we see ourselves (regardless of what we have 'produced' materially) as a generative being, and the world we occupy as generative, how we relate to everything and everyone becomes a symbiotic dance.
