Scorpio Season pulls us into the depths. Here we are shown the shadows of our own inner worlds reflected in pools of mirrored water. We walk into the underworld, willingly, as we confront the parts of ourselves that stand between us and our self-transformations. It is in the space that we find our power, our will. Ruled by Mars and Pluto, alike, Scorpio reminds us that evolution is only possible in the face of moving on from stagnation. We are told to let go, release and allow the pains of the past to burn so that we can be reborn: rising like a Phoenix from the ashes. Scorpio is Fixed in nature, creating throughlines of sustainability. Healing and growth are ongoing practices. As we go through the next few weeks, we are told to reinvent ourselves and find beauty in our soulful power. We are told that we can be baptized by fire, only to come out of this time stronger than ever.

The scorpion has been symbolically linked to death and rebirth for thousands of years. Its venomous stinger can be lethal or induce paralysis, and its ability to molt its exoskeleton evokes modern-day ideas of transmutation. Throughout history and art, the scorpion has been condemned as evil or revered as a creature of protection. Its existence polarizes, and few zodiac signs are as polarizing as its namesake, Scorpio.

While the Sun travels through intimate and magnetic Scorpio, we turn our attention to the themes of Transformation and Sexuality. With Mercury stationing retrograde this season, we find ourselves realigning with what truly matters. We dig a little deeper and reconnect with the intimate parts of our being.


Below are ways to work with Scorpio Season:


1. DANCING AND MAGIC
Take time to find music that inspires you and builds passion within you. Curate and create playlists around these songs, but more, move your body. Scorpio is magnetic, and moving the body allows you to tune into your own magnetism. Feel the rhythm as you move and then jot down the notes you have in your Magic of I. journal as a form of intuitive connection.


2. SENSUAL MOMENTS
Ruling sexuality and sensuality, Scorpio invites us to get intimate with ourselves and possibly others. Take time to focus on how you feel in your body, how food tastes and how smells envelop you. Create sensual experiences that leave you feeling more heightened and connected to your sacral self. Understand that by (re)claiming sensuality, you are also (re)claiming your whole being.


3. EMBODY YOUR EVOLUTIONS
Scorpio is a sign of evolution, and we as humans go through constant evolution daily. Take time and care to reflect on/journal about your evolutions over the last few years, months, days and hours. What has newly emerged in your life? What have you seen die away? How has this made you the person you are today?


4. PLUMB YOUR DEPTHS
Scorpio finds its home in the shadow and is no stranger to the underworld. As you go through the next few weeks, work with your personal spiritual, mental and emotional health practices to focus on shadow work. Pull at the threads of your fears, your innate inhibitions and your restraints (safely, of course). Take time to confront the shadows that exist within you, for this is where the light can be found.
