Mercury enters Scorpio

After just over two short weeks in Libra, Mercury enters Scorpio, shifting our focus from peace-keeping to depth analysis. Need to make a point? Communicate your intentions? Convince someone to trust you? If so, this transit is the transit to use!
Here, persuasion is our forte. We’re eager to leave the superficial fluff behind and cut straight to the core of a conversation. Scorpio is a sign associated with our powers of instinct, intuition, and by association, observation. This is psychological terrain, and with Mercury present, we are aware that true rapport must be forged by something more primal than ideological agreement. If we can get others to not only hear what we are saying but to FEEL what we are FEELING, we are more capable of selling our story. Therefore, our ideas must not only be well-conceived; they must contain an emotional resonance to hit home. In this way, shared convictions become a means to building bonds.
In the coming days, tactical disputes may be a response to too much comfortable silence during Mercury in Libra. We know instinctively that many important things have remained unsaid, and if others aren’t going to speak up, *we* will. Although we might be more combative in our speech now, we’re also less likely to be rattled by insults or criticism. After all, we’re not aiming to be petty. We’re aiming to address the controversial nature of views that others would distance themselves from in the name of respectability politics. Mars will dance with Mercury for much of its stay in this sign, so we should expect arguments to get a bit heated for the time being. Use debates as an excuse to become more informed. Research deeply. Investigate concepts that you are most passionate about. Uncover the hidden truth! But keep in mind that while you’re placing others under a microscope, someone else may be clocking *your* moves. Before you go exposing another’s secrets, remember that a heart-to-heart will get you further than an eye for an eye.
