Mercury Enters Leo

After a two month plus stay in Cancer, Mercury finally ingresses into Leo. There are several cosmic conversations occurring simultaneously now. In our last post we discussed a kite between Venus, Pluto, Neptune and Uranus, with Neptune as the kite’s apex point. As Mercury enters Leo, it creates its own kite with Venus, Pluto and Uranus, where Mercury is the apex. There’s also a mystic rectangle in the mix. The astrological geometry is geometry-ing. 

Currently, Mercury’s most important missive is that we recognize the fruitfulness of tension and the magic of concentration; both excellent tools. A so-so idea can become a great idea when pushed to its peak creative potential. Alternatively, a great idea can become a terrible idea when stressed to perform in unreasonable ways. Like the adage says, “the dose makes the poison”. The dose is equally capable of being a cure if administered properly.

In your communication with others now, the tendency will be to push to extremes, to prove the originality of your concepts, the suitability of your plan, or to add a frivolous theatrical spin. When Mercury in Leo we MUST be self-assured (how else are we to keep others’ attention?), but conviction can devolve into bluster, or even meanness, when challenged. Worry less about influencing, and more about being a good storyteller. Be confident in your capacity to persuade and you won’t *need* a conspiratorial slant to sway an audience. Be confident in your analysis or artistic output without fearmongering or rage baiting. HOLD the tension without perpetuating it. Your imagination, your ability to excite and inspire, are your gifts. Whether you are truly as ORIGINAL as you thought will be something worth pondering in the coming days, as Mercury parleys with the eclipses.
