May Transits and Monthly Overview
We enter May having left the eclipse season firestorm behind us, and for the first three weeks of the month, our focus is on our resources. April’s shakeups disrupted our sense of security, and our chief desire now is to regain lost stability. But the ride isn’t over just yet. The sun is set to align with Uranus on May 13/14, simultaneously disorienting us while offering a critical breakthrough. The way forward may not be clear until after the sun links up with Jupiter (May 18/19). Once the sun enters Gemini, we'll see that we have been thinking too small. New options can be accessed by shifting our perspective. But for now, sorting through what you have and what you lack is the first step in delineating what the new you *wants*.
NOTABLE TRANSITS
May 2/3 – Pluto is retrograde: Pluto will spend the summer backtracking through Aquarius before re-entering Capricorn for the final time on September 1/2.
May 15/16 – Mercury enters Taurus: common-sense thinking and straight-forward speech are our forte, but be mindful of a stubborn streak that can hamper innovation.
May 20/21 – Sun enters Gemini: each of us is a social butterfly, primed to leave our cocoon, but like butterflies, our attention span is short and we are easily carried away.
May 23/24 – Venus enters Gemini: we seek romantic variety, more interested in waxing poetic on our partners’ pros than harping on their cons. This is especially easy to do if we maintain emotional distance, which is our inclination now.
May 23/24 – Jupiter sextile Neptune: a semi-rare transit (last seen mid-October 2020) offering spiritual growth, good fortune and educational and travel opportunities.
