This potent transit between Jupiter and Uranus dawns in the sign of Taurus, implicating a powerful time of spiritual and intellectual awakening. The benefic planet Jupiter in the fixed earth sign Taurus, has been teaching us the ways in which our physical vessels need care and attention. It has also been helping us to understand the financial structures which we are a part of locally and globally and how our financial responsibility is no longer simply limited to the four walls of our own home, due to the expenditure of tax dollars throughout the world.
These two planets meet about every twelve years and the last time they met in Taurus was in May of 1941, which was a monumental year because the world was in the beginning throes of WWII. This isn’t to say that we will indefinitely be declaring any type of world war, (even though WWIII has been trending on twitter for the last week), and there have been whispers in the air about a declaration due to the middle eastern conflicts escalating. But history does have a tendency to repeat itself if the lessons weren’t learned the first time around.
Jupiter can bring in massive growth and abundance in any direction whether it be good or bad and since it is in the sign of values, ruled by the planet of money and the material realms, the way that we view our place in the financial world is changing. World politics aside, this is a great opportunity for personal evolution, a chance to level up your belief around what you deserve and don’t deserve in life. Where do you still keep thinking too small when it comes to business and material gain? Jupiter and Uranus asks us to make a big, bold claim and to jump at the chance to shake up our sense of comfortability.
There are massive swathes of money being moved around through trades and business deals as we speak. Cryptocurrency just reached an all-time high and the price of raw materials is sky rocketing. In times of conflict, we typically see hordes of cash being pushed around, the military industrial complex is a hungry beast, never satisfied and in need of more. When Jupiter and Uranus make contact it is a time when fortunes can change in an instant, people become millionaires over night or end up losing it all. The risks are abundant and through the eyes of Taurus it is all for the sake of material comfort. On a more simpler level, it might just mean that some of us decide throw away our entire wardrobe for the purpose of changing our personal style, or open up a bank account and move all of your savings into a retirement fund. These types of big financial and materialistic moves are quite appropriate for the Taurus archetype. Whatever ends up coming through, just know that it is for the sake of learning and understanding a new way of being.
