July Transits and Monthly Overview
Significant planetary action metes out in July. Mercury completes its retrograde. Jupiter exits Cancer, the sign of its exaltation. The sun squares off with Saturn, challenging you to keep putting one foot in front of the other when you probably don’t wanna.
But significantly, July is when the North and South Node shift into Aquarius and Leo. This cycle is about letting go of the unconscious urge to perform for an audience and daring to do the controversial thing, the thing that won’t win you praise, but through the act of breaking convention, will liberate you from the need for it. On one level, we’re talking disappointing another’s expectations (maybe even someone who you love) to follow your true calling. While the comfort of the known is difficult to escape, be patient with yourself. This month sees you opening a new door and walking through it with intention.
NOTABLE TRANSITS
July 7/8 – Neptune is Rx: rose colored glasses come off during this five-month transit. Disappointing? Yes, but ultimately a net positive.
July 9/10 – Venus enters Virgo: love is best expressed through acts of service, NOT nitpicking. Avoid offering up "helpful" feedback unsolicited.
July 22/23 – Sun enters Leo: making all of us the main character! Just don't treat friends or colleagues as sidekicks rather than equal cast members with full backstories.
July 23/24 – Mercury Direct: What did you learn about how emotion can hijack logic? Hopefully you now see that it’s not about ignoring your feelings but about communicating them deliberately.
July 26/27 – North Node/South Node enter Aquarius/Leo: asking us to trade the false freedom of popularity for the true freedom of originality.
July 26/27 – Saturn is Rx: fear of failure takes a holiday, enabling us to realistically assess where we’re going and to restructure what’s not working.
