Open the windows and let the fresh air in — Gemini Season has arrived and it feels right on time. Who knew the first air sign could be so punctual? Then again, who truly knows anything about anyone, let alone this sign? When we speak of Gemini, we are often speaking of the moment when our fixed perceptions begin to shift. The windows open and our minds are changed by new information — information we only receive through curiosity.

As a Gemini stellium myself and a literal Gemini twin born on May 24th, I couldn’t love this New Moon reflection more. When I think about being born under the sign of the mythical twins, I think of mutable air — flexible cognition and communication. Curiosity, I believe, is a precondition for accessing the best of Gemini. So what is curiosity? It’s both a trait we express and a state we inhabit. It’s also what researchers call an epistemic emotion — a class of emotions that arise during the process of learning and knowledge acquisition. According to cognitive scientists Paul Silvia and Reinhard Pekrun, epistemic emotions like curiosity, interest and wonder support how we take in new information, revise our thinking, and expand our understanding (Silvia, 2006; Pekrun, 2006).

The annual New Moon in Gemini invites you to do just that — to notice the gap and move toward it. Let your questions guide you. Lean into Gemini’s mutability and explore the distance between what you know and what you’re drawn to. Gemini is both orator and listener. So listen deeply to how others language what you want to learn and then try to articulate it with simplicity and generosity to others who are ready to receive it. This New Moon chart, like Gemini itself, is highly relational. As the sign of the twins, Gemini reintroduces us to humanity — through connection, through partnership. It’s no accident that the twins appear in a relationship. Neurobiologically and symbolically, Gemini reminds us that we are hardwired for connection and that curiosity is a vital thread in how we relate.

On the same day as this New Moon, a Venus–Chiron conjunction in Aries trines Mars in Leo, bringing fire and focus to this idea. A thought to center you: How does the quality of my listening shape the voice of the people I love? This is a proactive, radically responsible way to relate — an approach that inspires vulnerability as an invitation rather than a demand. We have more power to shape the self-disclosure of others than we realize. So initiate new ways of listening. Listen in a way that can hold the new language emerging from your loved ones. And just like the Gemini twins at the end of their myth, you may find your way back home to the people you love most.

 

Aries

Curiosity, Observation, Dialogue & Active Listening

Your power this season lives in your questions, Aries. This New Moon invites you to listen with sharper attention and speak with more intention. The conversations that shape your life begin when you stop preparing your response and start noticing tone, timing, breath and silence. Gemini offers you the gift of language, but also the reminder that your listening carries weight. The way you hold someone’s words changes the words they choose next. Let this be a moment where connection grows not from volume but from attention.

Action: Ask someone a question that surprises even you. Then let them finish every sentence before you speak.



Taurus

Finances, Security, Clarity of Values & Pleasure

Safety wants your voice, Taurus. This New Moon opens a channel for conversations that stabilize your foundations — especially around finances, values and shared resources. Safety is compromised when it’s unvocalized. It’s built in clear agreements and consistent language. Say what you need. Ask what others expect. Let this be the moment where vague assumptions give way to honest exchanges. You don’t have to earn permission to want commitment. You do have to name what commitment looks like. Speak your expectations before they turn into resentment.

Action: Start one uncomfortable but necessary conversation about money or shared values with someone you care about.

Happy Birthday Gemini, make a wish! The New Moon in your sign invites you to update your understanding of who you are and who you're becoming. Stephen Covey’s Be-Do-Have model applies here: identity shapes behavior and behavior shapes outcomes. Start with the version of you you’re ready to embody — then let your choices follow. When you focus on who you want to be, then what you want to do about it, the 'having' is ultimately inevitable.

Action: Write out a statement of who you are becoming. Make one decision that aligns with it before the season ends.
