Mercury shifts into its Morning Star phase after its conjunction with the Sun. There are two different types of conjunctions that both Venus and Mercury make with the Sun: inferior and superior. An inferior conjunction places the planet between the earth and the Sun, and a superior conjunction is when the planet is the farthest in its orbit on the other side of the Sun. Much like the phases of the Moon, these two types of conjunctions with the Sun correlate to either a birthing or a shedding of intellectual property. This Mercury/Sun conjunction is inferior, it is a phase in which Mercury infuses all of the knowledge that it has gathered throughout the last cycle to birth a new process of understanding. The way we communicate, the words we use, our tone, what we choose to focus our thoughts on, and the new skills we learn are constantly changing, evolving and melding away. Mercury’s journey through the sky triggers the curiosity needed to expand one’s awareness of the world. It is the antithesis of mental stagnation. Dane Rudhyar dubbed this phase of Mercury as the Promethean phase after the Greek titan who stole fire from the gods and gifted it to humanity. The myth describes beautifully how the spark of knowledge, once gained, can never be lost, and how integral its wisdom is to the development of humanity.
Venus ingresses into Cancer on the 30th/31st. Every relationship requires their own unique level of care and engagement, they all evolve or devolve according to how much energy, time and attention we afford them. Venus in Cancer wishes to nurture close bonds and is a time when we strengthen the connections that really matter. Cancer’s connection to tradition, the familial and loyalty, suspends fleeting one-offs to direct the focus to relationships that bring a natural sense of security. Venus’ journey through the zodiac influences our perception of beauty and art, and through Cancer, she reminds us to explore aesthetics that reimagine the past, the classics and masterpieces that have stood the test of time. Shortly after Venus’ ingress into Cancer, she squares Saturn and Neptune, the same day as the first quarter Moon in Scorpio. A lot of adjustments are being made to the way we intimate ourselves with others, opting for reflection on past agreements, contracts and artistic pursuits, which signal a need for change. It is quite possible that hard lines are washed away through deep self-reflection and greater confidence to navigate inter-personal affairs without such hard lines. Opting for compassion to the greater suffering of human kind, identifying one’s needs as universal builds bridges of understanding. Another effect of the square between Venus, Saturn and Neptune is a newfound understanding of how to navigate financial and relationship matters. The restrictions, rules or lessons that were made known or implemented during the Venus/Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the end of April are now showing the results of such tactics clearly, allowing us to decide whether we want to continue on the same track or pivot.
Chiron stations retrograde on the same day that Venus shifts into the sign of the crab and remains so until January 2026. The long retrograde cycle of Chiron shifts the focus of healing and wellness inward, shifting focus on routines and health regimens that may have snuck out the back door throughout the year. If you have recently picked up a bad habit, this phase of Chiron can help to clear away the blocks that brought them on. The general focus of Chiron in Aries has brought attention to how we view youth and longevity throughout a person’s entire lifespan, encouraging a new mindset that says at no matter what age, you are never too old to start caring about your overall well-being. Examples of people in their 50s, 60s and even 70s picking up a dumbbell and reversing the signs of aging continually prove that health doesn’t just belong to the 20-year-olds.
Monday 28th
Productivity Mode activated! The Moon meets with Mars and the South Node in Virgo, jump-starting the week with the drive to tackle tasks and chores that have been giving us the side eye. Tying up loose ends with coworkers, employees, children, and friends paves a path towards clarity and nervous system regulation. Energies help to align diet and health goals, reaffirming the need to stay on track with focused intentions. Venus sextile Chiron brings in harmonious moments in relationships, a good time for resolutions, and general moments of compassion and care.

Tuesday 29th
The Moon is busy in Libra today, ramping up social engagements, plans, synchronizing and harmonizing a variety of multitudes. Setting the tone with directives takes up most of the day. Our Moon is balancing a tightrope of to-do’s, dodging everyone’s opinion and figuring out how to engage while keeping the peace. By our own volition or not, we are made aware of personal boundaries that continually bend, finding support through Saturn and Neptune’s opposition to erect new conditions creatively.

Venus enters Cancer today, prompting a desire for intimacy that is familiar and secure. The Moon is void of course all day with the last aspect being a square to Jupiter coloring the air. Chiron stations retrograde in Aries, bringing to conscious awareness the parts of our individuality that we are working to heal. Revisiting past health concerns to clear up lingering symptoms, taking stock of energy levels and working to improve vitality comes with the Chiron retrograde in the cardinal fire sign.

Thursday 31st
The Moon is brooding in Scorpio, and Mercury is cazimi the Sun. Ill logic and deep emotions? All we can do is sit with the feelings that arise and surrender to the masochistic disposition we’ve caught ourselves in. Mercury is gaining wisdom from the Sun through the heart of the Lion, integrating courage with conviction that eventually makes its way into a new philosophy.

Friday 1st
The first quarter Moon after the New Moon concentrates energy that can feel stifling if not released. We’re navigating much-needed changes in the way we navigate the financial world, putting added restrictions on spending or making adjustments to investments. Take time out of the day to assess whether you are seeing a return on your investments either in finances or relationships and adjust where need be. The square Moon in Scorpio offers a chance to take bigger, calculated risks.

Saturday 2nd
The Moon enters Sagittarius, lightening the mood from the intensity of Scorpio, broadening the emotional scope to an expanded perception of the previous days. The Moon in Sagittarius sheds light and opens doors, curating a much-needed way to view and articulate what we have been feeling. At first, it may prompt a deeper search for the overall meaning, archetypal stories through myth do a great job of reflecting the greater purpose for human suffering/emotional turmoil, linking each person in the web of collective consciousness. Take note of the stories that are told while the Moon dances through the centaur.
Moon trine NN, sextile Mars, Moon -> Sagittarius at 11:00 pm PDT.
Sunday 3rd
The search for meaning continues into the day, finding solace in spirituality is an age-old technique that humans have used to ease an ill mind of worry. Let go and let goddess! Research symbolism that pops out of the ether, if you hear something for a third time this week, it might be a sign from the universe to follow the trail down the rabbit hole. Relating to characters, in books, heroes, philosophers, artists and great thinkers gives us something to work towards in our own humanity.
