Venus takes the stage, kicking off the week with her appearance in Leo. She makes a big impression holding down a slew of aspects to the outer planets: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which have been positioned at the gates of each planetary ingress. These trans-personal planets sit at the 1st degrees of Aquarius, Aries, and Gemini so every new planetary shift into a new sign brings on exponential adjustments. Her debut in the self-maintained fixed fire sign sets the heart ablaze, secreting a life force that exudes beauty that is bred out of confidence. How we perceive our own uniqueness is compared to the standards of the collective, challenging a more fierce acceptance of personhood. Venus in Leo will have us experimenting with and pushing the mold of what is to be accepted, the feminine protective qualities of the lion demands the acceptance of all flaws, spots, and quirks which makes for a more authentic life. Taking a risk to show love in its rawest form through Venus’s opposition with Pluto requires courage to give up one’s humility at the risk of rejection. The act of love is art, it cannot be precisely replicated though we try through written word, photographs, and songs. When Venus meets with Saturn however, love somehow becomes tangible, and crystalized.
The most notable aspect this week is Neptune sextile Uranus. An opportunity for spiritual realignment, and activating a radical understanding of one’s own consciousness through the collective. Are you what you think? Do your thoughts truly belong to you or are you channeling them from a pool of ideas and concepts that exist in an etheric plane? Do your thoughts control you or do you have the will to control your own thoughts, subsequently altering your reality and lived experience? Neptune sextile Uranus offers a glimpse into the science behind the mechanics of mind through consciousness studies.
This connection has not occurred since May of 1968, during this time, science had determined a new criteria for death which included the brain alongside the traditional criteria which was breathing and pulse. This significantly shifted the importance of the brain as the central role in controlling the body. For the longest time, in western science, the mind was thought to house consciousness. But now, nearly 60 years and thousands of near death experiences later, the question still remains, where does consciousness live? What happened to followed was a revival of interest in spirituality and consciousness through the late 60’s and into the 70’s in the western world through the spread of meditation, yoga, and other ancient eastern religious teachings.
Uranus is electrifying the mind while in Gemini, sparking unusual social contacts and synchronicities while Neptune is dissolving the idea of an individuated self in Aries. We may see advancements in science regarding the mind and its relationship to consciousness. The electrical grid that powers the brain is able to tap into the collective grid much like trees, and if we are all linked by the same pulses then could it be that there is no true “I”, that when speaking of the self, it is more appropriate to say “we”?
Monday 25th
The Moon is activated by all of the outer planets with her Libran charm and grace. This same bustling energy accumulated the last time the Moon entered Libra on July 29th. Balancing multiple schedules with work, events, and friends comes easier with Venus’s ingress into Leo. The adoration comes from all angles, it can feel hard to please everyone even though we may try, Venus trines with Saturn aiding in slowing down the amount we give. Practical application of a calendar, saying “maybe”, and remembering that there are only 24 hours in a day grounds Venus and the Moon to first tune in to what is plausible.

Tuesday 26th
An unearthing of deeper needs and desires occurs which can come as a surprise or out of the blue. A sudden shift in a relationship that opens up questions about how much is too much can pop up throughout the day, leading one to investigate or come to terms with how different we are all in receiving love. The little baby “t” word (trigger) can come up around self-acceptance and self-worth. Flings may start, end, or become more impassioned depending on track it was on.

Wednesday 27th
Moon enters observant and piercing Scorpio, pulling the attention towards matters of the mind, psychology, and in depth investigative matters. If this energy is directed inward it can feel like a microscope has been propped up to one’s own prefrontal cortex; if directed outward, extreme almost obsessive focus is placed on a particular topic. It’s a good day to practice self-awareness either way, not forgetting the body’s needs, hydrating appropriately, and not consuming too much caffeine should the mood strike to get completely lost in any particular disposition.

Thursday 28th
Neptune and Uranus make contact in a minor aspect that generates just enough impact to make radical changes in the collective’s core spiritual, and social beliefs. The power of the mind and its effects on the reality that we live in is very present, either in media, in our own practices, or conversationally. One’s ability to overcome tumultuous circumstances lies within the way in which they think. This is a powerful day to explore one’s consciousness, guided visual meditations are a direct way to interact with the subconscious, drawing, automatic writing, autonomic finger movements, and dream work all connect the conscious self with the sub.

Friday 29th
Awareness and understanding shine through a sea of deep emotions with the Moon still in Scorpio trine Jupiter in Cancer. Emotions are felt bigly today, sentimentality pours out at the drop of a hat, the reminders are everywhere. It’s important to let yourself feel each and every nuance, write it down, listen to music, and let it move through without the stickiness of the fixed water sign holding on. A wealth of tolerance for the tedious, empathetic connections direct us into something new. Words might come out all wrong, too extreme or more dramatic than intended, all there is to do is to sit with it and leave the reasoning for tomorrow.

Saturday 30th
The first quarter Moon in Sagittarius extracts us out of the Scorpionic mood, overriding inhibitions in a search for the greater meaning, and a good time. Practicing what we preach can be great medicine for the ego, today we put the new practices to the test and see if it the schedule fits. Moon in Sagittarius is pushing the boundaries of what can and shouldn’t be done while the Sun in Virgo unflinchingly combats inefficiency. The matter at hand is ideals vs practical application – but if you believe it, certainly it can be done.

Sunday 31st
Mercury trine Chiron offers support for communications that heal the heart and mind. Words of affirmation go a long way to open us up in our confidence. With mercury in Leo, our words are powerful and the tone, inflection and way in which we convey how we feel can noticeably shift how we are perceived. We may also receive healing words, information or direction that boosts motivation to share our creative selves. The Moon in Sagittarius is seeking ways to grow with educational pursuits that generate new opportunities. Let the words flow! Moon sextile Mars, square NN, Mercury trine Chiron rx.
